IE8 cannot connect to the

First check your firewall to make sure it is not blocking IE8 from internet access. If it isn't. the next thing to check is your proxy, you can go here. Tools, Internet Options, Connections Tab, at the bottom right. Click on Lan Settings, make sure nothing is checked.

If these two solutions still do not work. goto internet options and then advanced tab. and reset your IE8 browser to the factory default settings.
