Try this: Check your air filter, clean if dirty. No fix? Change your gas, prime and try to start. No fix? Check Spark plug for fouling and replace if buildup is present. No fix? Pull the fuel tank and two/three (one is a vent with it's own filter, shouldn't cause the problem) fuel lines coming from the tank and inspect for cracks/holes/dry rot, re-install/replace (fuel line is around $0.75/ft at local repair shop or available at mfr. web site). Still no fix? Pull carb... it's not that big of a deal, you need a phillips screwdriver. Be careful not to let dirt fall into the intake of the motor, so blow it off with compressed air if possible before removal. Pull the top and bottom plates off carb by removing screws, one might be built into the primer cup (I do this part over a cookie sheet to avoid runaway small pieces) gently to reveal the gaskets underneath taking note of which direction they come apart. One gasket should be relatively flat with a couple of holes in it, the other might have a metal washer fastened to it against a spring and arm mechanism which is attached to the carb. Inspect these gaskets and if there is evidence of cracking, or they seem to be "mis-shaped" or brittle, order the appropriate rebuild kit (around $10) from your local small engine shop or online source as per manufacturer's part# (available at Echo's web site). Re-assemble after dousing all parts with carb-cleaner per directions on can and try again. Still no-fix? Seek professional advice, it's going to be over $10 at this point. Fixed? Great, now you have to do yard work. Happy Fall!

Check for vacum leaks at carb to inkate gasket before removing carb by starting blower and spraying wd-40 between carb and intake at gasket and listen for change in engine rpm. You can use carb cleaner for the same effect, however be very careful not to douse it as it is EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE! Which is why I say use WD-40 as it has a lower flash point.

i recently had this issue with my 2001 taurus dohc engine. when you drive it seems that everything is fine. when you stop, the car will idle very low and somethimes shut off. there is a hose under the throttle body that is attached to the pcv valve. over time, this hose will collapse and eign to tear. i replace that hose (autozone for $10) and it solved my idling problem.

I went to start my 91 s10 blazer 4.3 4x4 and I had dash lights till I went to start it then I lost all power to everything inside and outside. I checked the starter wires and battery wires are all good,...

something is completely draining your system at start-up, I believe that your starter is bad ( take it out and have it checked) or you have a real bad short or grounded wire that could possibly start a fire. A low, or almost dead battery can also cause this...take your battery cables off battery and clean anyway to insure good contact ( if aftermarket , even reassemble and clean cable to clamp connections) corrosion/resistance can be a thin film somethimes

Blower motor runs somethimes

Could be a faulty switch, or wire connector problem, and not necessarily the blower motor. You could save yourself $600 by doing a little troubleshooting to find the problem.

Try wiggling the wire connector at the blower and the switch. If it is the blower motor, spend a few dollars for a chilton's manual or haynes, and do it yourself.
