It just doesn't seem like my frigidaire gas affinity dryer is drying as fast as it should

Hey Car Guy,.. there are two factors that determine how fast the clothes will dry:
1- air temperature, Is the gas burner is lighting and heating the air? Just stop the dryer mid-cycle and feel the clothes - if they are hot, then the burner/heating part of the dryer is working ok.

2 - adequate air going through the dryer. This is usually where the problem lies. There is a lint filter at the dryer somewhere, accessed either where the door opens, or on the top of the dryer....there may be an additional lint filter somewhere on the exhaust duct. Check for that, and check your air flow where it exhausts outslde. See that the flappers of the backdraft damper aren't stuck closed etc.

If you have good heat and good air flow, then it's doing all it can.

The combo washer/dryer doesn't have a lint collector. Air is circulated through a condensate tube and is washed down during each drying cycle.

Whirlpool modle number LER7646AWO serial number MD1848149 dryer blows out cold air only it started by taking to long to dry clothing then it started to only blow cold air. Eveything else seems to work fine

if it was taking to long to dry that's a sign that you need a clean out on your dryer, you should have this done once a year so you don't have a fire.there is a thermal fuse that will pop if the dryer runs to hot probably from a lint buildup in the vent line or the lint filter duct, when was the last time you cleaned out the dryer?alot of people don't even know they should have the dryer cleaned out, unplug the dryer, take out the lint filter and remove the 2 screws on top where you pulled the filter out.now remove the vent line from the back of dryer and take off the back panel.on the left side you'll see the duct that the lint filter slides into, take the four screws out that hold the duct in place,on some dryers you can remove the duct to clean it and some you can pull it out from the bottom and move it to the right enough to get a vac nozzle into it,if the lint is packed in the bottom use a screw driver to scrape and lossen the pile and remove the big stuff by hand and then vac the rest, also vac the grate on the wall of the dryer half way up the duct and if you have a dryer brush stick it down where the filter goes to clean the duct out good, put the duct back and to the right of it and like 4 inches up from the floor you'll see the white thermal fuse part 3392519,check that with your meter to make sure that's the problem and most of the time it is this,if that's good read out the heater and the termostats to see what part is bad and make sure you have 240 volts going to heater if parts check good,if it was the thermal fuse take the front panel off of dryer by popping the top up with a screw driver and remove the 2 5/16 screws on the inside front panel, disconnect your door switch wires and pull the front panel up to remove it,vac out the inside of dryer,if you have a shop vac put it on blow and blow the lint off the motor and blow the lint from the back forwards so you don't have to pull the drum, put that back together, now if you have a long vent line blow it out with a leaf blower, sart the dryer,go outside and make sure the flapper is blowing open all the way and you should be all set, clean it out once a year so this doesn't happen again

Whirlpool AWZ 7303 tumbling but not drying.

blower wheels will get loose in dryers. Sometimes they will get a whole lump of lint in them or you can hear a rattling noise in the dryer, this is the blower wheel, its worn out and it can cause the fuse to blow too,or it can half *** work and take fifty forever's to dry the clothes.Or it could be just that the dryer needs a good blowing out .I use a lawn blower to get all the lint out of the dryer as well as the vent pipe and vent to outside. I take the filter HOUSING out and wash it also. That is, I remove the housing and clean is good! Making sure that the dryer is properly flowing air is a good thing!
