Royal 9500 ml cash register E6 ERROR AND SCREEN DIFFERENT LANGUAGE

If the register suddenly changed language, it has lost the programming. It will have a memory backup battery that has failed. In some models, you can change the battery. In others, the battery is internal. There is a programming manual on the net https://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Royal_Alpha-9500ML_user_manual.html
Hope this helps

Tip

Cash register storage - IMPORTANT

Are you going to store your cash register away for a while? Then beware! Most machines have an internal backup battery that stays charged when the register is plugged in. When you unplug the machine, or you have a power cut, the registers memory (all of your products, store name, keyboard functions, files, and other system settings) are held via the battery. If you leave the machine turned off for more than 1 to 2 months, most registers will lose all programming, and you have a big job on your hands. (If it is dead, or has scrambled looking characters when you plug it back in, then data loss is likely).

What you need to do is take it out periodically, and plug it in (make sure the display is lit). I recommend leaving it on for 1 day each month to keep the battery topped up. If you haven't had the battery changed within the last three years, that is a good idea too, as they lose their capacity over time. If you have an older battery in your machine, then charge it more often, say once per week.

If you have any questions regarding the batteries, please just post a message in this forum.

My XE-A201 reset itself overnight. I did reprogram, but next morning was reset again.

Hello,

Yes, the cash register uses batteries.

Without the batteries in each time you turn the cash register off you are, in effect, performing a master reset.

See page 7 of the Sharp manual here: http://www.sharp-cash-registers.co.uk/acatalog/Cash_registers_xea201_manual.pdf

Thanks,

Ben

Error FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Hi. This is normal when you haven't changed the batteries on time. It no longer has the power to backup the memory when you get a power cut. You can change the batteries now and try to recover the memory if it is still there. MAKE SURE you leave the POWER ON when changing the batteries as there may be enough in them to hold memory but not if you turn power off. Once you have new batteries in it and the FFFFFFFFFF is on display, turn key to Program or PGM mode and press subtotal. It should print out. Turn key back to REG mode and try it

Te-8500f

It uses a special Vanadium Pentoxide Lithium battery. It is available from Casio register dealers. If you are changing it yourself, make sure you have the power TURNED ON in reg mode while changing it. It has to have power to keep the memory while the battery is being changed or you lose the program.
