Question about Cameras

Digital camera error

My digital camera gives me an "Unsupported Card" error. I went to radio shack and bought a new memory card and it still does the same thing. There is nothing wrong with the card and it is the right card.

Is there a way to reset the camera or something else I can do??

i honestly think this camera is a complete peice of ****. the problem is, people are giving these away for free, because they're total garbage. I've seen better cameras in dollar stores. The thing cant take pictures in low light, it freezes whenever I put on the flash, it has a horrible lens and it wont accept my memory card. Let me guess? I have to buy a special memory card that's going to cost me 10x extra? what a surprise! Well I honestly think that your company should be ashamed of yourselves.

According your camera specs listed on

your camera must support the FAT 32 file format in order to use a compact flash card that exceeds 2.2 Gb. I question whether a camera 7 years old supports an 8Mb card, but I haven't found any specific upper limit listed online anywhere.

The chip reads memory card error

They do go bad in rare cases...... buy a cheap card reader from radio shack and use your PC to try and read it. - or - find a buddy with a devise that takes the same card and see if his reads it. - or - buy a new card and test the new card in your devise......if the new card reads ok then your old card is bad
