Computer will do nothing but boot up. Will not go on IE or any web site. Has a a startup message that it is infected.

How old is the machine? I would recommend reformatting the hard driver and reinstal the Operating system. This will get rid of all the junk the OS has gathered over the years and give you the computer a fresh feel. Also remember when you reformat your disk that you will lose all files and ,so backup, and also you will need to download your device drivers.

Everytime i boot up i get an error message stating that there was a boot failure and it loads in safe mode then it prompts me to buy some software to repair my netbook


Sounds like a combination of 2 things.
  1. Machine has contracted a virus.... On startup, the machine would never prompt you to buy anything unless it's infected with a virus or malware.
  2. Corrupted bootlog....Any boot failure is usually due to a corrupted bootlog. This can be for a variety of reasons ie improper shutdown, bad battery, or what I think is the case here is a virus or malware.
If possible, boot directly into safe mode (tapping F5 key while booting). From there you can try different options ie Last known good configuration, run memory test, system restore. If you can't run your anti-virus package in safe mode, you may need to attempt a system restore, preferably to a point just prior to where you picked up the virus.

When i start my pc today, i had stop 0x0000007b (0xf9e48528 0xc0000034 0x00000000 0x00000000) i try with chkdsk /r end fixboot but no result.

    INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE
  • Setup has encountered a fatal error that prevents it from continuing.

Every time I start my computer windows installer tries to run a scan program. How do I stop this? I tried to X out of the program and it just keeps trying to re install ,with error messages.


Type this on RUN command at the strt menu
msconfig
after that go to Startup tab then uncheck the program that automatically start when you boot your computer, or scan your computer with an updated anti-virus so that you can determined if your computer is infected with virus

Try using a different (non-virus-infected) computer.

Be sure that you're accessing the "official" web-site, not a "phishing" (and "unauthorized") copy of the financial web-site.

Upgrade to Internet Explorer 7 or 8.
Start IE, and click 'Tools' and 'Manage Add-Ons',
and disable unneeded toolbars. Close IE, and re-open it.
Now, try to access that web-site.

I have an older Dell 8100 that is infected, I cannot use it.


It might be really what it says, but chances are you have accidentally started a "fake virus scam" malware, that acts a bit like a virus, but with an added function of luring you into paying for some miraculous anti-virus, that will cure your computer of the multiple "infections" it has allegedly "discovered".
If you can open Internet Explorer, you may try one of the online virus scanners available. If not, the only thing left is to prepare on a clean computer a startup antivirus CD, from which you could boot your computer and run an antivirus program.

Downloaded infected program


You will have to push F2 or F12 when you boot up, and get into the Startup menu. From there, you will have to restore your system to a previous date (if you're running XP or Windows 7, you can do this). Otherwise, your bios may be infected and have to be reflashed, but a computer shop will have to help you with that, unless you're pretty technical.

Download FireFox.. Internet Explorer is having problem or you have virues/spyware killing IE.
Try Firefox or Google Chrome (that's small and fast to try) IE shutting down is not monitor problem.

I get runD1132 error every time I open up PC


RUNDLL32 is the Microsoft Windows program that loads DLLs into memory so
that they can be used by specific programs or by Windows. This behavior
could be associated with a programs not responding properly or is associated
with spyware programs and viruses. Anti-virus software and firewalls do not
fully protect your system against the majority of spyware and privacy
threats. Spyware is commonly bundled with software downloads, attached to
e-mails, or transmitted through networks so it can appear to be legitimate
software, but once installed it can be nearly impossible to detect and
remove without the help of a dedicated spyware removal tool such as:

After Spyware / Adware is remove, you may get an error finding files on
reboot

After you use anyone of these programs (with the exception of HiJackThis)
you may receive an error of some sort after rebooting your system. This is
pretty common. Many spyware programs add themselves in the Startup location
and execute when Windows boots. If you recieve an error when rebooting after
removing spyware, do not panic. This is more than likely a startup remnant
trying to access the spyware program that is no longer on your computer.
HiJackThis is a great utility to find and remove these startup remnants.
However, there is a less technical way of removing these items:

(1) Click START to RUN and type: msconfig
(2) Select the STARTUP tab
(3) Uncheck the file that pertained to the startup error message you
received
(4) Click APPLY and OK
(5) Reboot your system

If this fails to fix the startup error message after reboot, there are still
options:

(1) Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup
(2) Delete the icon that pertained to the startup error message you received
(3) Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup
(4) Delete the icon that pertained to the startup error message you received
(5) Reboot your system

Some web pages never load, others do

The first thing I suspect is a malware infection (browser hijack).
Please try spybot and adaware.
Then get hijackthis and scan. Check for any funny looking entries and delete them.
Also, Go to tools, internet options, and delete browsing history (IE).
Go to tools, internet options ,connections, lan settings and make sure that nothing is checked.
