Question about Bosch Nexxt 500 Dryer

1 Answer

Ticking getting worse!

I have a Bosch Nexxt 500 Dryer and it went from being a silent machine to making a clicking/ticking noise when it runs. The noise just gets louder and louder every use. Any ideas? The machine was purchased 5/1/09.

Most likely yes. Get a good adhesive for it though and make sure it is dry before you close the door and before you use it.

I NEED SERVICE MANUAL FOR BOSCH NEXXT 500 GAS DRYER

Hi.

I am sorry but unfortunately I could not find the manual for Nexxt 500 gas dryer in my database. The full model number may help me to find the file more than the model name.

A manual for Bosch gas dryer is available in this forum. Subscription to the forum is free: http://applianceguru.com/view_topic.php?id=21241&forum_id=19
When you ask for the manual always include the full model number(e.g.WTMC332SUS ). There are different Nexxt 500 models.

Regards.

It may be the dryer belt. When it breaks, there is a switch near the tension arm and wheel that engages. It shuts down the motor. If it is the belt, when you replace it be sure to reset the switch. Good luck.

The dryer makes a new noise now when the drum is turning. It is a steady "tick -- tick -- tick -- tick --etc" which is laid over the normal sounds of the motor, the turning drum, and the...

You have done a good job of isolating the noise. Sounds like you will have to replace your drive motor. Very likely a mechanical problem in your motor, that is not going to fix itself. If you continue to run your dryer with the noise coming from your motor, you run the risk of the motor burning out electrically and causing a fire or a shock hazard. It is unlikely that this will happen, but it is possible and thereby not worth the risk of getting shocked or having a fire. The Whirlpool Duet Dryer is the best dryer built, so it is worth replacing the motor. Good luck, Appliance Specialists

The dryer (Bosch Nexxt 500) makes a loud grinding noise when rotating. Any idea what this may be?

The noise could be your drum rollers need lubricant or replacement.
When the drum rollers get flat spots on them they will make a bumping/thumping type of noise.
The grinding noise sounds to me like the drum rollers are in need of lubrication.
