Have you installed windows already? You should be able to call in to Microsoft and explain your situation and they will give you an activation key over the phone.

Windows7 does have set program

If you have the Key the Windows seven product key on the sticker, on the computer, you can lagally DOWNLOAD windows. I think it started just THIS year. Windows XP and older versions don\'t work the same way so you couldn\'t do it before and still can\'t for XP, Win98, Windows ME etc. But Win7 and Win8 are different, if you try to let some one use your license numeber they will hunt you down and find you, and make your life a living hell. Your online experience will never be the same, video\'s won\'t play, facebook won\'t load and you computer will run slower and slower and slower until it is dead. But if you have your own legal Product Registration Key (to a windows of hell, identity theft, piracy, virus\'s and worms, junk mail, credit card fraud, online scams, pornography, and that\'s just to name a few) you can down load a perfect copy of windows all legal from Softpedia, safe and legal. You will need someone to help unless you have another computer at home. You also need a blank recordable DVD-R, and some one with Nero, or another good DVD burning software that will burn the ISO image exactly onto the DVD the way it should copied. An IOS is the same as it WOULD look on a DVD, but when it\'s on your hard drive you Cannot read it. Then put the disc in your computer and re-install Windows. Some guys won a lawsuit or something, about this very thing, that\'s why you can now get the disc you need without a lot of trouble.

Hi i keep trying to go online on age of mythology the first one and it keeps saying cd-key is inalid so im pretty pissed off and how do i get past this also i tryied to make a online account and i finish...

Well, you have likely pirated the game and/or used a used CD-key. If you did pirate the game (torrents, sharing, etc.) then you cannot play online until you buy the game.

If you do legally have the game, then put the disc into your computer and reinstall it, using the CD-key that came with it. You will be able to play online then.

If you still cannot play online, you have likely let someone else use your CD-key also, in which case you need to contact support (if there's any available) or just buy a new copy.

Hi Allan - It's not widely available but you can still get a copy of the Windows XP "Get Genuine" kit which would let you keep your current installation and make it legal. It just changes the serial/registration codes to make it a legal copy with SP2 and fully upgradeable with all the benefits of a legit copy.

You could get a copy for $140 HERE. Microsoft isn't still actively promoting this program but there are copies still around and they are still totally legit.

If you have trouble finding a copy get back to me and I'll track one down for you.

Good Luck and as I said if you have any questions about this path please get back to me.

Windows activation is right. Your do not have a legal installation of XP. It works strictly on fact and bases its results on a long list of legalities. It has nothing to gain by "lying" to you and everything to lose. You should speak to the company that sold you the computer or anyone that reinstalled XP for you and have them resolve this problem.

However, if you still think that you have a legal copy of XP you can try re-entering the key. The process is to deactive XP and then reactiveate it using the new product key. Here is a decent tutorial:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/productkeysactivation/ht/changexpkey.htm

Hopefully, this will take care of things.

However, if it does not work it means that the product key you are using cannot legally active the copy of XP installed on your computer. (Ex. XP-OEM, XP-Retail, XP-MAPS CD-ROMs each have a specific set of product keys that are not interchangeable.)

If this helps please vote for my solution.

Download and install windows xp prof, hardware lenovo E5300 A4086

Hi,
There are many places online to download Windows XP

but none of them are legal. Windows XP is not

distributed online so there is no legitimate way

to download Windows XP, even from Microsoft.

No matter where you find it, any XP download you

come across online is illegal. The only legal

course of action when you need a copy of Windows

XP is to actually buy a new copy of Windows XP.

It's that simple.

It's important to note as well that even if you

did download Windows XP, what you would get is an

image of the Windows XP Setup CD. For example, you

would probably download an ISO file like

windows-xp-pro.iso, or something like that. You

would then burn that ISO image to a CD that you

would then use to install Windows XP.

In many ways, however, what you actually pay for

when you legally purchase a copy of Windows XP is

the product key (sometimes referred to as a CD key

or key code, or incorrectly as the serial number).

This unique number is required during an

installation of Windows XP. So even if you did

download Windows XP, you would still need a valid

XP product key to install and use Windows.

Here iam providing the link to buy Windows Xp pro

Windows Xp Sp3 Software Counterfeiting Problem

I have one question to ask you is Your Copy Of Windows XP Legal?

If it is all you have to do is contact Microsoft by telephone.
You just have to provide them with the product key and any other information they will need. You can also go online to view what conterfiet software looks like. If you do not have a cd you will have to probably call the Computer Manufacture and Microsoft.

Have ide drive have put a new 60gig but cant load new os it finds the cd drive but wont boot from disk have changed bios but still it say ntdlr missing it drivin me nutts.

  1. Computer is booting from a non-bootable source.
  2. Computer hard disk drive is not properly setup in BIOS.
  3. Corrupt NTLDR and/or NTDETECT.COM file.
  4. Misconfiguration with the boot.ini file.
  5. Attempting to upgrade from a Windows computer that is using FAT32.
  6. New hard disk drive being added.
  7. Corrupt boot sector / master boot record.
  8. Seriously corrupted version of Windows.
  9. Loose or Faulty IDE/EIDE hard disk drive cable
  10. .
To Fix
  1. Insert the Windows XP bootable CD into the computer.
  2. When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD, press any key.
  3. Once in the Windows XP setup menu press the "R" key to repair Windows.
  4. Log into your Windows installation by pressing the "1" key and pressing enter.
  5. You will then be prompted for your administrator password, enter that password.
  6. Copy the below two files to the root directory of the primary hard disk. In the below example we are copying these files from the CD-ROM drive letter, which in this case is "e." This letter may be different on your computer.

    copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\
    copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\

  7. Once both of these files have been successfully copied, remove the CD from the computer and reboot

Cd product

There is no way to legally get the product key for Windows XP without buying a copy of Windows XP.

Also, if you have Vista Home Premium or Basic, you will have to do a fresh install of XP, only Vista Business and Ultimate allow for downgrading.

Here is an article about downgrading to XP from Vista:
