Question about Kohler Cimarron Comfort Height elongated 1.6 gpf toilet with Class Six tech

1 Answer

I just had a Cimarron toilet installed, and it worked great for months. It now appears blocked, and will not flush, even after repeated plunging. It is not likely that there is any obstruction in the system, knowing the limited usage. What do you suggest? TKS Jim V

Try snaking it as this will catch anything that the plunger cannot reach.
I know you said that it has had limited use,but can you be sure that something out of the ordinary did not fall in?
This is why I suggest snaking.

We just installed the Cimerron two piece. After flushing the toilet, it will not stop running. Water just goes into the over flow section.

  • The exact cause of a Kohler Cimarron toilet running non-stop depends on the exact model of toilet owned. In some, the lift chain connected to the handle can become kinked, preventing the ball seal from covering the drain completely. Just unkink the chain to fix this. In other cases, the float ball is stuck against the side of the tank, preventing it from returning to its normal horizontal position. When this happens, the toilet's tank doesn't stop filling with water. The excess continuously flows into the overflow pipe. Dislodge the float ball from the side of the toilet and this should clear the problem. Likewise, you might consider shortening the armature on which the float ball sits, so it won't become stuck again.

Toilet fills with water when flushed and drains slowly.

It is clogged up, needs to be plunged, If you have a clean-out that you can peek in, see if the water flows by fast there or not, It could just be at the bowl. If not, you will need to snake the clean-out or the vent through the roof. I had a job once where the water stopped up and I couldn't find the clog, so I had to saw the pipe in a few places till I found it, and when I let it go, It went. All over the place. It was in 3 inch pipe that is supposed to drain, it didn't, so check it out, hope this helps.

low water in the bowl is only caused by the float being to high! the gurgles is Usually because of air coming back up through the pipe, check your vent pipe that come out the roof. this will help the draining.
