Question about LG DLG5932W Gas Dryer
Sometimes it will run for 10 seconds and shut off. possible off on overload, will start later.Had motor replaced 2 months ago. original motr was much noiser than the replacement. Still having same starting issues even with new motor.
I have a LG Dryer and sometimes the drum will not start tumbling. I can hear the motor start and you can feel the heat. i have to keep turning the drum to a different location to get it to start...any ideas

This one can be difficult to track down. You've most likely got an electrical component or poor connection which is opening up as current passed through it and it warms up. Check the connections of the power cord to the dryer, the connections inside the home's dryer recepticle, and the connections in the home's breaker box. (of couse, proper percautions need to be observered to prevent electrical shock hazard when doing these tests) If those are all good and tight, some times a small item like a 6931EL3002A thermostat, located on the blower housing inside the dryer, can cause those symptoms. That one can be jumpered and run for a few minutes to see if it is the one at fault. Items like the thermister (6323EL2001B) (also on the blower housing) can not be jumpered to test.

If you hear the motor humming and not starting at all it most likely has a severe friction problem with the drum or motor. It could possibly have some type of garment jamming the blower wheel preventing the motor from starting too.
Open the dryer door and manually rotate the dryer drum counter clockwise (CCW). It should take very little effort to rotate the drum. If it's hard to rotate that could explain why the motor hums instead of starting up. If it turns freely, shut the door and see if will start. If it still hums and not start it may have bad motor or a low voltage supply to the motor.
