The I/O jacks for microphone and headset/speakers are located on the left side of the laptop near the front.

Please left me know if you need any further assistance.

Hi,
Look at the front and sides of the laptop for the headphone and microphone jack ports.
Some of them are coloured Pink for the microphone and green for headphone (audio out). some of them are also black.

Good luck.

I have a sceptre flat screen i bought 2 years ago (40") the sound just quit can hook up external speakers?

Read the owner manual or check all the inputs on the rear to see if it has those connections---it is also possible a surround system routed from a box (cable or sat) might work to bypass this issue.

and do not forget to check in the set menu that the speakers did not somehow get switched to OFF.

The Samsung SyncMaster 2233BW does not have built-in speakers, so yes, you need external speakers separately for sound.

How can I hook up external speakers? I have

Go to your tv menu, and make sure that your fixed audio output is selected not variable. Variable will make not work, with the television volume is turn down. When you hook the speakers, make certain that it is on a fixed audio out, not variable, as well.

I hooked up my stereo amp to my external speakers that were also still hooked up to my tv. now I don't get any audio from my tv just a high pitch sound. Is this an easy fix?

Hi, I can help. It sounds like the TV internal speakers were turned off so that the only speakers to have sound were the external ones. Go to your menu and find the sound area. There you can tell the TV to send sound to the internal speakers once again and not to external.

How can I connect external 5.1 speakers to my Acer 5920 Laptop

welll.... you can hook multiple speakers up in parallel if you wish... but it will still be stereo... just through more speakers that's all.

You will need an external sound card if you want real DD5.1 sound. An excellent choice for a laptop is the Audigy 2 ZS video editor. It's an all-in-one device.. audio in/outs, video in/outs, 5.1 sound, 4 port usb hub, firewire connect and a few more things. The neat part is that it hooks up with one simple usb cable.

I would bypass the speakers from the projector and connect the audio output from the DVD to a sorround sound system or to computer speakers.
