Question about LG Dryers
The cycle selector knob on our new LG dryer is flashing for *all* of the cycles and won't let uschose a cycle. The check filter indicator is also flashing but we have checked the filter and tried the posted solution of rebooting it (and pressing the pause/play button for 5 seconds) and that hasn't worked. LG service recommended the same solution posted and it didn't work.

After trying the Fixya posted and LG service recommendation of pressing the pause/play button for 5-8 seconds and unplugging the machine for one minute before plugging back in (which didn't work) we unplugged it for over an hour and the computer reboot/reset itself.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

I know how frustrating it can be when appliances do not function properly.
This particular washer has a test that we can run to see any errors. This can be confusing on this model.
I am including a document below that will describe how to view the old error codes. Use the section that starts with Activating the service diagnostic modes. You can start with the cycle selector knob at any position.
If there are no error codes stored, I recommend that you start from the beginning (step 1 above) and then run the Automatic test mode. If this unit detects a problem, it will display the error at the end of this test.
I hope this is helpful. Post back your results.
