This means you are not getting a signal to the monitor.
If you have 2 SVGA outlets on the back of your computer, are you using the correct one?
Next, I would suspect that the display on your video is out of range for the monitor. On the computer start-up, start hitting the F8 key until you get the black and white menu. Choose the VGA option to get Windows started and then you can set the correct resolution.

this happened with my friends tv, i dont really know the model of yours but he fixed his by replacing the light bulb that lights the lcd screen. dunno if thats any help, but if you cant figure it out contact customer sopport
