Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
I seem to only have this problem when i play halo 3. A few weeks ago when i would try to turn halo on the screen would say unreadable disc. after restarting it a few times the game started to work, i constantly had to do this every time i played the game although sometimes i'd get lucky and the game would start right up, a few days later the game started to freeze randomly and i would have to restart the console. finally a few days later the colors in the game became distorted, and when i went to restart it the sound came on but there was only a picture of moving diagonal white dots, i was able to solve this problem once with a few restarts but stupidly enough i decided to try halo again and no the console just displays white diagonal dots when i turn it on with the sound of the game in the back ground.
Rats. Sorry to hear that. If your Xbox360 is still under warranty then you can call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and arrange to have it fixed.
This is a common problem and some people even choose to replace the DVD drive to reduce the noise while the console is operating.
Here's a link to help identify what drive you have in your console now: http://llamma.com/xbox360/Xbox_360_DVD_Drive_Comparison.htm
