Factory or aftermarket source unit/radio/cd player? Try turning your gains down on the amp just a pinch. If I had to guess you are using a factory head unit with a line out converter? And please include YMM of vehicle, I'm also guessing a GM product with a factory amplified system. Maybe a tone that starts a little soft and gets louder before getting softer again? The more descriptive of what equipment you're working with the better we can help you, without my guessing a lot. And if it was professionally installed most places offer free diagnostic warranty. -JMFT

It sounds like your RCAs are pickin up noise somewhere, are your rca cables next to your amp power wire? this could be the problem. Just recheck your signal wires and make sure they aren't close to any significant power cables. Also does the noise only come from your subs or your car speakers to? If it comes from all your speakers you may have a headunit problem... hope this helps

I just moved my 12" kenwoods to a new car. i'm running a 760watt amp with 6 guage wire. last week they sounded crystal clear, no rattle or anything. but this week they have a constant loud rumble,...

It sounds like you have a feedback problem between your amp and your speakers this is usually caused by a bad or weak ground between the amp and chassis ground and speakers and chassis groung, also make sure that the correct post on the speakers is the one attached to ground as this makes a big differance especially with high power systems. Hope This Helps Don

Subwoofer acting wierd

If you turn the power off and restart, the most logical answer i know of is your amplifier is going bad.
I am not sure of the model and brand of your amplifier, but there should be a protection light on the amplifier somewhere that will most likely be on, caused by overloading the amplifier.

You will most likely have to replace the amplifier, or check with the manufacturer to find out if they can repair it or help to further diagnose the problem.

My pearl mp3 player says no files when i turn it on

The songs are in the wrong format - it does not recognize iTunes songs or DRM-encrypted songs which do not have "transfer rights" (many msuic services - especially free ones but also paid ones - give you WMA's that have "play rights" -i.e. you can play them on your computer; but if they do not have transfer rights, they will show up in your player, yet not play correctly/skip).

Transfer only songs that are in Mp3 Format and you will never have this problem.

Help!!!!!

Insignia mp3 players are a little buggy in that they occasionally get file system problems that cause strange things like this to happen. First backup your songs from the mp3 player, and select "erase internal memory". That actually reformats the memory. Then put your songs back on the mp3 player. If it still doesn't work, please advise.

My MuVO TX was having problems until I installed the latest firmware. The last firmware release was in March 2007. If you haven't updated the player's firmware since then, try downloading it and installing Creative MuVo TX FM Firmware 1.24.02.
