Question about Panasonic DMR-ES10 DVD Recorder

1 Answer

Playback of discs

My dmr-es10 will only play region 2 discs. I have a number of region 1 discs, but when I play these the colour is distorted and the screen jumps. Any ideas on how to get the discs working again

    Hi

I have a similar problem... I can either only playback things I have recorded, and not play bought DVDs. Or the opposite. I also very rarely watch bought DVD's and can’t remember how I once managed to switch from one mode to the other. Currently I've been given a DVD brand new and the screen just flickers backwards and forwards between the TV channel and the DVD. I've been through the manual and menu and cant find how to resolve.

    I'd really appreciate help

Have you tried setting the players video output to your TV type?
R1 discs are NTSC(30 fps), while R2 are PAL(25 fps). Look for video output or TV type in the player's menu. Most player's default to "any", passing whatever signal is on the disc to the TV.

Dvd3 remote dvd1 mode

make this steps and fix it. Merry Christmas
Turn on your DVD player.
    • 2
Open the DVD player's main drive, also commonly called the DVD "tray." The region cannot be changed while a DVD is in the machine, so many DVD players require the tray to be open as an extra precaution.

    • 3
Push "Info" or "Setup" on your remote.
    • 4
Use the remote to select the "Region" option as indicated on your TV screen.
    • 5
Select "Region 9" to change the system to multiregion formatting. Regions 1 through 8 represent specific geographic locations and will not allow multiregion playback.

Panasonic DMR EH57 bought brand new in Cyprus, only plays European region. Need to unlock it.

For this model, you cannot play DVD-Video if their region number does not include “1” or
“ALL”. Refer to the disc’s jacket for more information
