A Tristar CB radio cannot legally exceed 4 watts of transmitting power.

You can add anetnnas in order to increas the "gain" to have the equivalent of much more transmit power.

Microphones aren't measured in watts.

The "impedence" (amount of resistance) is the important measure.

220 volts at 7.39 amps = 1738 watts

120 volts at 7.9amps = 948 watts so any unit capable of 1000 watts at the 110 volts will do the trick

The correct size of inverter is an easy calculation and important to ensure long life from the inverter and the life of the appliances getting there power from the inverter. To calculate you take the volts and multiply by the amps which equals the wattage. Every appliance has a tag which must state the volts and amps. Locate the tag to find the information. Here is an example.

Under Counter Refrigerator 1.3 amps (120 volts x 1.3 amps = 156 watts)

Microwave (120 volts x 10 amps = 1200 watts)

Alarm Clock Radio (120 volts x .03 amps = 3.6watts)

TV (120 volts x .6 amps = 72 watts)

You now add all the watts together, since the above list could likely be running at the same time. There is a combine wattage of 1431.6 watts. In this example you would need at least a 1500 watt inverter. However given some unknown variables personally I would get a 2500 watt inverter. Less stress on the inverter, will lengthen the life of the inverter. Had the total been 1,000 watts a 1,500 watt inverter would suffice.

You must also remember that your alternator on your vehicle must be able to keep up with the power demand of not only your vehicle needs but your inverter needs as well.

If you consider doing this the first thing is **SHUT THE MAIN BREAKER OFF**. Use an auxiliary light source to see when working in a dead panel. Always keep in mind an **ARC FLASH ACROSS HOT MAINS HAS ENOUGH HEAT TO PEAL THE SKIN OFF OF YOU**.
Before an explanation of how to do it you should keep in mind that this
is for a single receptacle only. If any other receptacles are on the
same circuit they will also be changed to 240 volt receptacles and if
you plug any 120 volt device into them, the 120 volt device will be

with red or black phase tape and connecting it to a **new** 2 pole

changed to a 15A - 240V receptacle so that 120 volt devices can not be
plugged into it. Never use 2 single pole breakers together because code
requires that on a fault trip both legs of the 240V circuit must be

these are Panasonic arc lamps .. the numbers 100-120 indicates the intended voltage range of operation .. the /1.3 or /1.4 is the current in amps .. so the 1.4 is slightly higher current and likely a bit brighter .. thats 156 watts vs. 168 watts .. arc lamps are much more efficient than incandescent so 150 watts in an arc lamp is a lot more light than a 150 watt incandescent...

You should be able to use the 25 watt bulb as long as they are compatible with the socket they mount in... Hope that helps...
