Question about All-Pro K175 Heater

1 Answer

I have a All Pro 200T - purchased from Home Depot - I need a new electronic thermostat and none of the DESA service centers seem to be able to find or get this part for me - my unit has a digital temp read out. Any one know where I can get this part?

You may know that All-Pro declared bankruptcy.
"World Marketing of America" handles the parts for that unit. DESA handles the services.

How can I tell if thermostatic switch is working on the 9 inch center burner?

Hello Ron;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

I would like to help you. I work on the side so, I known what is new on the sales floors.

I need more information. Send me your model number. It is either located on a label on the face of your range after you open the door, or on the side of the door.

You are going to need to purchase a multi-meter for about $25.00 at Lowe's or Home Depot, if you do not already have one. This tool will save you hundreds of dollars in service calls. Read the manual so you will understand my instructions.

There are several reasons the burner is not working. I need to see the model circuit diagram.

IQ America Wired Doorbell 8-note westminster Model DW-2840 needs a diode

For the IQ America doorbell (mine is a DW2860), the diode that was packaged was a 1N4004. Search for it on eBay. They are very cheap.

Need nails

You can use any hardened nails designed for .22 cal power shot drivers. The best place to look for them would be stores like The Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards or the like. You could use most nails from Hilti, Ram-Set or others that have the plastic or rubber 'fins' on them to help keep the nail centered in the barrell.

I need a new push button for an sl6195 rx

Heath-Zenith (I beleive they bought DESA) makes a battery remote push button bell that says its compatible with all Heath Zenith chimes. I bought one at Home Depot and it worked for my SL-6195-RX. (an on line doorbell seller and the Home Depot assoc all said it wouldn't work.)
UPC is 16963961975.
Item also shows a code "11G43" on a sticker on the back of the package.

Where is a Hampton bay repair center in Mich. I need a the part hangs the celing fan to the Elc box.

Hampton bay is owned by home depot and to the best of my knowledge there are no repair centers for hampton bay fans. That bracket can be purchased (or ordered) from home depot. You could try searching "king of fans" online, they manufacture hampton bay fans for home depot.

All Pro 200t Will not ignite

John- the ignitor does not stay on for the duration of the running time. It only stays on for the first 5 seconds. This is long enough for the flame to ignite and perpetuate itself, assuming the fuel delivery system is up-to-par. The photocell monitors the flame color and if the flame becomes off-color then the photocell tells the control board to shut the unit down. Naturally, too rich or too lean affects flame color.

Now, I'm confused by your description "the heater cycles 3 times". Tell me more.

I'm glad to see that you checked the pump pressure. Have you used soapy water to check for air leaks all the way to the nozzle? A leak in the airline, fuel line, or a crack in the nozzle adapter will cause no fuel delivery, or reduced fuel delivery as well as reduced atomization of the fuel - all of which can cause a lack of combustion. A restricted fuel filter will cause starvation.

Eliminate all possibilities of a fuel delivery problem before you start blaming electronics because there is not much way to test the board or the photocell successfully without DESA's diagnostic tool. Unfortunately, replacement of the componants is cheaper than the tool.

Filters for dyna-glo pro

You can make your own filters out of felt and I have also found that with some minor modifications most of the parts from Mr. Heater will work with Dyna Glo. I have a 170btu kerosene heater and just installed an ignition, a high limit control and a flame sensor from Mr. Heater and it works like new.
