My machine (Whirlpool AWM8413 washing machine)has suddenly stopped working. All lights are on and the machine commences a cycle, however as soon as it does you can hear clicking from the control unit area (top right of machine) and about 10-20 seconds in the cycle stops and the door open light starts to flash although the door is in fact still locked.
A couple of people have had the same problem with no solution posted. If you have one would be much appreciated.

The problem I had with washing machine Whirlpool awm8143 (door open light coming on a few seconds into wash cycle and not completing) was actually due to worn brushes and not the CCU cumputer you suggested. Replaced brushes and all works fine. Thanks for your input.

This problem is caused by the CCU, that is the central control board which is a small computer that controls the functions of the washer.

I have a lasko floor/ wall mount fan model 2264 QM and when I turn it in it makes a SQUICKING noise, what can I do to stop that

squeeking noise from a running motor more often comes from a worn down motor bushing and shafting, this will later lead to the fan not running at all due to stuck motor and may burn the electric coils , causing more damage. While still at the squeeking stage m have the shafting and bushing replaced.

What does it mean Bush HW601460D error 7 ?

I believe this is the fault when the motor bushes need to be changed. check the motor for black powder on / around it. this is a sure sign they are worn down.

Have a True Freezer. It will kick on but when shutting down it shakes like crazy

This can be due to poor mounting of teh compressor. If the freezer is old then the mounting bushes can be worn out and must be replaced. Also check on the mounting bolts as if these are loosely fitted the compressor will ******** moe specially when the motor stops due to the force.

I have a 1992 honda accord LX. The starter still works, but it squeals when I turn the car over most of the time. Is it on it's way out, or is there something else I can check out?

Hi,
You may want to take you Accord to a parts house that does starter checks for Free.
Auto Zone, Napa, Advance Auto, ect.
They can do a Starter Amp Draw test.
This test will show if the squealing is due to dry and worn bushings in the starter, as dry and worn bushings will draw more amps, than good bushings, due to binding, thus squealing.
Dry and worn bushings will only get worse.

Slicer 827a roaring noise

This can be due to the motor bearings/bushes that have worn out and is slightly having the gap within,
When the load comes on the motor must be firmly moving on the main shaft without a fraction of a gap.
To confirm use some light oil into the motor shaft where the bearing/bushes are and try out. If so you might have replace them to fit well , get help from a machine tool shop.
If the mtor seems perfectly alright then the mechanism of the cutting blades, the moving parts here- one of them - can be the suspect. Take carre to check when the power is on.

The coupling to the motor is loosely rotating on the motor shaft. Has the threads on the coupling worn out. it is a breville optiva cbl6 blender

The coupling bush wear out in due time and must be replaced. if there is a wearing detected it must be changed or it will result in failure of the bush/ bearings of the motor and jar. You will need to remove using anti clockwise direction, Get the correct spare part from the dealer to replace. Good day

Bosch Washing Machine model WFG2460 drum doesn't turn

There is no start capacitor on this washer if it has brushes in the motor, most likely the prob is due to worn brushes, to check them, do the following.
Remove rear panel, remove belt, remove motor plug.
Undo 2 screws securing motor, lever motor back with a screw driver or similar, keeping hold of motor and remove motor,.
You will find the brushes at the opp end to the motor pulley, replace if less than 1cm in length.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
