CPU fans in desktop computers do run continuously. If you have noticed that the fan is load this could be an indication that there is a build up of dust on the fan blades and on the heatsink itself.

To clean it turn off the computer and remove the power cord. Remove the side panel or cover and clean the blades and heatsink with a clean, dry paintbrush. Use a vacuum nozzle to **** out the dust making sure you don't touch and of the components with the nozzle end.

Usually, there are two fans on a desktop PC. Some computer have three.

One cools down the power supply and it may be quite noisy after a while because the dust in the fan. The second one is to cool down the processor and usually it doesn't stops, it only changes its speed according the heat.

If there is a third one, it will stop when the temperature is cool enough for the system.

Only on notebooks the processor fan stops completely after a while to save some energy.

Ess25lgmb freezer fan doesnt shut off

Most fans only run when the compressor runs, it must be wired wrong, OR if the unit has a computer control (LED digital display) it may be the main board has shorted, you can try unplugging it and let it sit for 10 minutes, then replug it. ALSO sometimes there are sensors that sense the temurature and will kick on a fan if they are out of parameter, changing sensors if they are malfuntioning can fix this as well...

Wont boot, black screen and fan runs continuesly

Means the laptop is dirty inside, AND the Thermal Paste compound on the Processor, may have dried up.

(Graphics chipset too, if it has one. Otherwise it is part of the processor. Integrated Graphics)

Fan running continuously means the Processor is overheating.
Like I said; dirty computer inside, and dried up Thermal Paste.

Now,...........if you post the laptop manufacturer, and model number; you will get detailed info on repairing; and not this generic cr@p.
Model number is on the Bottom of the laptop.

Blower fan does not cutoff in gas mode after burner cuts off

Hello, sometimes the fan relay will weld shut and cause the motor to run continuesly, in this case the the control board must be replaced since the relay is part of the board. Another possibillity is the thermostat wires shorting togethur between the G and and R terminal. Easy way to check is to unhook the G wire from the G terminal, if the blower stops there is a short, if it does not stop te relay is the problem
