Same problem I purchased office and home - but it ran as a trial... I sure hope that I didn't spend 160 for a trial. But when I open any office app it asks for a product key... It was months ago and I don't know what it is anymore... Is there anyway to fix this???

Unless you completely wipe your hard drive and reload it, the previous trail version information will be in the Registry. This will cause the software to refuse to let you have a second trial period. If MS didn't do that, people would just keep loading trial offer after trial offer.

As already stated, full, genuine licenced versions of Microsoft Products cannot usually be downloaded.

It is, however generally possible to download Free 60 day Trial versions of some MS Office products.

Microsoft no longer offer and have withdrawn Free Downloads for MS Office 2007 Trial Products. All their efforts are now focused on marketing and support for MS Office 2010.

Microsoft often does this after a new product has been launched.

If you are determined to use MS Office 2007, then you will have to purchase a licensed copy of the software from a reputable, reliable supplier, such as Amazon (www.amazon.com).

Online offers of Free Downloads of MS Office 2007 products are probably almost universally either not genuine, illegal, unlicensed or pre-used licence versions, downloadable only from illicit download sites or are masquerading non-existent MS Office 2007 products as camouflague for the marketing of other (often unrelated) software, products or services.

Even if you do succeed in finding a genuine download site for MS Office 2007 products AND manage to complete a successful, uncorrupted download, you will still have to purchase a separate, genuine, unused Licence for the product before you can successfully install it, use it with confidence, register it, activate it and download and benefit from Updates and Security Patches for it from Microsoft.

You can use Open Office simultaneously with MS Office Excel 2010 60 Day Trial or MS Office Pro 2010 60 Day Trial.

If you delete MS Office Excel 2010 60 Day Trial or MS Office 2010 Pro 60 Day Trial, well before the 60 day expirty date, and Remove all components of it from Add or Remove Programs (or its equivalent in your Operating System) and restarting before downloading and installing, it is usually possible to enter into a further 60 Day trial period.

You can download a free trial of the Microsoft Office software through the Microsoft corporate website and then buy an activation code that will allow you to enjoy the full functionality of Office Suite for as long as you own your computer.

Laptops that have pre-installed Microsoft Office in it usually have 60-day trial version or Microsoft Office starter. The trial version may be a Home edition and has the full features but will ask for a product key after the trial period expires. The MS Office Starter only has limited features for MS Word and Excel only, but this is not a trial version.

If you want to continue using the trial MS Office or want the full functionality of MS Word and MS Excel plus MS powerpoint etc, you need to follow the steps provided to activate or purchase a product key from the application itself. You need to purchase the product key from Microsoft since this program is unfortunately not free.

maybe your version is a trial and it expires,so now its unusable....you must obtain or purchase a key to activate your trial version....but there's still way to open your office files without spending money to purchase a key. erm the ms office is separate from you operating system

the ms office you will need to purchase it.

here in uk, you can purchase the cheaper edition. teacher and student edition

if you have any kids who are still in school and college?

theres a possiblity that the MS office that you have is just a trial version and it already expired,you will need to buy the full version of it for you to be able to continue the service,you can avail it from any computer store,they will provide you a disc with the product key

All laptops that come preinstalled with MS Office H/S are only trials. Once the trial period has ran out it asks for a product key.
If you want to carry on using MS Office then Microsoft expect you to purchase a product key from them for you to get the full benefits of the office suit.
Alternatively you can use free office software like open office that will open most MS office documents.
