I took mine to Halfords and it was fixed in minutes with a new inner tube. They only charged me for the tube too. I know how it feels to be wthout a pushchair

I've had two flats on the back tyre on my jane power twin - the first time myself and my husband bought a tyre puncture kit and fixed it. The second time we tried the same thing but the puncture was in such an awkward position that the patch wouldn't adhere to the tyre so I needed a replacement. I went to my nearest Mothercare shop which sells the power twin and asked them to order me a new tyre. It took a week but the part came it and it wasn't just a tyre it was a whole back wheel. They charged me 10 euros (7 Stg approx). Hope this helps.

Front tyre makes noise while braking

for the rim to get very hot the heat has to come from either a tyre that is almost flat or wheel bearings that are failing. If the first is not obvious then with a brake noise I would be looking at the wheel bearings.

Front end thumping that gets faster with speed

check for bulges in the side walls of the tyres and check for belt separation. Disconnect the front axles into free wheel mode and if the noise is not there it will be tyre related as there is no movement in the diff or drive axles

Front passenger side thumping at very low speeds

check if you tires have rayon cords or steel belts. this is a problem associated with the older tyres that had rayon cords as the main structure of the tyre. When left standing after running and allowed to cool the rayon belts actually took on a flat spot on the bottom and the noise lasted until the tyre warmed up enough for the tyre pressure to make the tyre round again. In extreme cold it may be the same for steel belted radials as the flat bottom of the tyre would hold the shape until the rubber warmed up .

My 2000 dodge Durango is making a loud humming noise. When you go over 20mph. It feels like it is under my feet when I am driving and my steering wheel is vibrating. Any ideas what it nay be.

Check the front tyres for hi / low spots, flat spots, bulges. Try rotateing your wheels front to rear & see if the steering vibration disapears & noise move to rear.

I hear a loud grinding noise when i drive my car

Check front tyres & wheel bearings espesially the R/H/F. Feel tyre for high / low spots on inside & jack up & spin wheel if you get noise while jacked up it is not the tyres but wheel bearing or brake pads but more than likly a crook bearing by the sound of it. It needs to be tended to ASAP

I just bought this car and it seems like it has really loud road noise, are they all like this? I wouldn't think so. My last car was a 2001 Buick Park Avenue and alot quieter. What might be the problem?

hi.

they are NOT all like that. mine certainly isn't.

the most common cause of excessive road noise is the wrong tyre pressure.

i normally run mine on 32 psi on the front and 34 psi on the rear

i have had problems in the past with some tyre tread patterns causing road noise on particular types of road surface.

check the tyre pressures first.

if the noise persists, feel free to ask for more ideas and solutions

My car is making a high pitched noise from the front right tyre when I go over 45mph, just bought the this used car last week, is a daewoo lanoo 2000? ANy help is appreciated

This high-pitched noise sounds to me like the right-front brake pads. They are most likely semi-metallic brake pads. You may want to remove the tyre and inspect the pads first for excessive wear. If they appear worn, of course, replace them. If they are not too worn, you may want to apply some disc brake anti-squeal spray to the backing plate of the outer brake pad. Another thing to consider, is to switch the pads out with ceramic pads. They last longer, are quiet, and don't create as much brake dust, especially if you have mag wheels that you're trying to keep clean.

Of course, without hearing the noise for myself, I can't EXACTLY determine the nature of it, but this is the first place I would look. Please let me know if you need any further assistance! :) -Jason

Please check your tyres.
