TV does not power on - Mitsubishi WS-55819

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

I have had a Mitsubishi DLP 52525 for 6+ years now and recently the green timer light started to rapidly blink when the unit was turned on and it continued to blink without the picture coming on. After...

I don't know about nettiser's credentials, but I've found plenty of people who would disagree with his/her assessment.

The flashing green timer light after a lightning storm seems to be a very common problem with old Mistubishi rear projection TV's. A friend and I had the exact same problem.

Using this and other sites, I spent $36 bucks and a little time with a soldering iron to replace the capacitors on the DM board and got mine up and running (WS55859). I've never really worked on electronic circuit boards before, but the helpful advice at these sites got me up and running. Definitely check it out before you hire someone or replace your TV:

for the WS55859 model, which may be a little different.

The timer light keeps flashing and there is no picture after there was a lightning surge

Sorry to inform you but this is total disaster. The power supply and possibly the display boards have been compromised. TV;s and other sensitive equipment neeed a power surge protector boad. The cost to fix this is around 500-600 dollard. However if you have household insurance a claim can be made if you are covered for FUSION. Parts but not labor will be paid by your insurance company. Buy a surge protector board, $25 for the future protection of expensive electronics

How do I reset my Mitsubishi TV?

To reset you will have to leave the unit unplugged over night but if that does not solve the issue you may want to inspect the power supply circuit (the first circuit in series with the power chord). Check for leaking capacitors, burnt parts or loose parts. You may have to check the entire circuit if in case none are found in the power supply circuit.

How much does it cost to repair a power supply circuit on a Mitsubishi WS55859 unit, parts and labor?

Ok, I know this song--this set has a receiver built into it(DM board) it is a large metal box on the left side as you look from the back--usually it just needs 4 1000 mfd 16 volt caps and one or two fuses on that board replaced---450 seems a bit high----that receiver while large has only a few screws holding it in and 4 or 5 plugs

It is a $$$$ decision----if you look thru all my solutions on this site you will see I have answered this question for many other people who have this type of set with the same problem.

Let me know if I can help you---
