Washing machine is leaking water out of the bottom

Washing machine is leaking water out of the bottom front left hand side and making a loud bang bang bang noise 2-3 times during the cycle.
It is a Ge front load washer.

Leak could be a few things, Pump depending on what side its on /bangs, are they electrical ?
