Printer will not start after changing ink cart.

I take out the old ink cart. and put in a new. Close it up and try to make a new print, but the printer does not respond. I got it started again by unplugging it, pushing down on the "on button" and plugging it in again. There must be something I can do to make it start up after changing the ink, without having to unplug it every time.

Changing ink cart

Every HP printer I've ever had worked like this:

1. Treat the top of the printer like a lid. Just lift it up to open it.
2. When the ink cartridges slide front and center for you, pinch the front where the tabs are and they click out.
3. Put the new cartridge in how the old one was and push down on the tab to click it into place.
4. Close the lid and let it do it's thing! :)

Will not print after changing ink cartridges

Defective cart or not genuine cart. Also be sure cart is installed properly, take it out and put back and listen for the click.

My printer Brother DCP 165C cannot print in black ink.

Your black printhead is blocked.
The printhead is deep inside the printer and has to be taken out by the expert and cleaned with the help of 'steam' and hot water. This is because not using the printer for a long time. or using low grade refill inks.
Please select new cartridge only if you are inserting a new cartridge or fully refilled cartridge. Otherwise use old cartridge option. Brother printer has a mechanical sensor and not the electronic chip in the ink cartridges.
After inserting the old used cartridge if you choose 'new cart' option it will show the "Full" ink. You can still print from the exhausted ink cart after covering the sensor in the middle by a piece of paper in emergency.

Refilling lexmark cartridges x2500

Hey....I solved the lexmark out of ink problem!!!HA!!! what you have to do if you want to refill these is "pop" off the top of the cartridge. It is not easy as it is glued down...using a small screwdriver preferably a small flat jewelers screw driver you can peel back the plastic that seperates the "lid" of the ink cartridge. you have to use a little force but you can get it off. Once you do this the cartridge will always read full!!!!!! just tape it or super glue it back on. You never have to take it off again! although I recomend cleaning the ink sponges inside every 3 refills. but this works great.....ha ha lexmark.....I got ya!!!!

Color prints too dark

1. Took out the color ink cart and clean the copper contacts of the ink cart with cotton swab, make sure that you do not touch the silver nozzle .
2. Try new ink color ink carts as someime this issue came up when the ink carts are about to finish up.
3. Replace the ink carts and do not us a refill ink.

My MFC-210C always says replace ink.

Try this: Unplug machine from power. Wait 5 min.  Open scanner cover and take the carts out of the holder. Close cover. Plug machine to power. Machine will cycle and demands the carts. Use all NEW carts: Insert carts as demanded and answer question shown on display.

Always print until machine STOPPS printing because of EMPTY cart. Change cart then and machine will print the rest of job!
Plz, never change carts when it says NEAR EMPTY: This will cause a lot of trouble ;-)

Printer problem

Try to unplug the printer from power. Wait a minute. Take all carts out. Close ink cover. Replug printer to power. Machine demands carts. Insert carts as demanded.

If you still have this error this could be due to generic ink carts. Ink may have stained the led control and the ink assy has to be replaced!

Take all carts out. Close cover. Unplug machine from power. Wait a minute. Plug in machine to power. Machine demands carts. Insert new (!) cart as demanded from machine. In case when asked push 1 for YES: cart changed.

BTW:
Always print until machine stopps printing. Display says NO INK XY. After replacing the cart machine will print the rest data out of its memory.

NEVER change cart when machine says low ink (This is only a hint to buy a new cart!). At this point the cart has about one third of ink left!
