Question about Apple iPod touch
My Itouch will not do anything, But when I put the USB cord in to charge it, it makes the same noise it should. But the screen stays blank and even when I hold the power button and or the circle button. Is it totally broken?
Start by syncing your iPod with your computer. When you do this, the iPod management screen will appear. Midway down that screen there's a button that reads "Restore." Click the restore button. This begins the process of restoring the iPod to its factory settings. After you click the restore button, iTunes will ask you to confirm that you really want to do this. If your iPod content is backed up, go ahead. The iPod restore process includes iTunes downloading and installing iPod software and bug fixes. You will see a window that looks like this. Follow the onscreen instructions. On a Mac, you will be asked to enter your computer?s password. On Windows, the installation will just proceed. As iTunes restores the iPod, you will see a progress bar. After the restoration process has completed, iTunes will pop up a window letting you know that it?s done. Now you?ve got an empty, freshly formatted iPod. Now you can sync the iPod with your computer and download your iTunes library again.

Testimonial: "Thank you soooo much, this helped alot, Your instructions were very helpful and made it easy for me to do step by step. My Ipod is now working Thanks!"
Put your ipod in DFU mode and plug it into your computer, you should be able to figure its in dfu when your computer says new hardware found, Apple DFU Repair or something like that... The Ipod then is practically running a secondary operating system to allow access to repair it, some hackers take control of this and modify the operating system on the ipod, they call it jailbreaking... Look on youtube if you need to know how to put it into DFU mode.
