Question about Sony NWZ-E436F MP3 Player

1 Answer

Pauses songs, then won't play them when I hit play. After resetting, the player says I do not have free space, then it says there are no playable songs/videos/photos. Resetting again does nothing :/

Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the manufacturer?s website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

I gave this device to put some songs but it is not getting format

Make sure the songs you are trying to download is supported by being the right format.
After doing some research I found out that the supported Digital Audio Standards(formats) are WMA, MP3, protected WMA (DRM).
This means that your songs must be of one of these formats to play on your MP3 player.
If the songs are not of those formats then you will have to reformat the songs to the playable format.
You can download a free format converter at the following website:

Good luck, I hope this helps

Thank you

IPOD NANO SONGS ARENT WORKING!!!

Test the songs that are not playing on the iPod in iTunes and see if the original file is still playable on iTunes if the song still plays re-sync your iPod could be when iTunes copied the song it must have failed or timed out, if that fails re-syncing try restoring you iPod Nano i have had this problem before and I just re-synced and it worked fine!

I have the portable media player from ativa and was wondering how you can stop the songs that are playing. I can hit pause and it pauses them but it will not let me end the songs.

I have a similar device, and that bugs me too. The only thing I can do is turn it off or go to the next tune/previous tune going left/right with keys. Bad design, eh?

80 gb ipod, I will go to any song and hit play. It will not play.

My ipod will not play after I paused it. It was playing fine before I paused. It was recharged completely before that.

Songs will not play....

I have same model but no problems. had older model w/ same issues. try holding menu button and center button at same time for about ten to twenty seconds to reboot. that might clear up the bug.

MP3 player refuses to remove deleted songs

Don't know why it doubled loaded them but I noticed the reset on the side and thought it was worth a try. Hit reset and it cleared all the songs from the list that I had deleted.

MP3 Player plays only 25 songs, capacity 1GB (861 MB)

Seems like a big problems you got there...

I reccomened re-formatting your drive to fat32 (for windows users) and giving it a second try.

I had the saem trouble a while back with my iPod Video 60gb and noticed that it was storing huge amounts of data that wasnt meant to be there. After the reformat it all worked again.

You also sure its not a full drive? because my Q-Be used to say "file error" on a full drive (vista bug)

---Give reformatting a go though.

"formatting problem"

I had a similar problem, I could upload songs, but they wouldn't play and I couldn't delete them. turned out it was cause I didn't have WMP10 installed on my PC, had an older version. the user manual states it only works with WMP10, and after I installed it (just search for windows media player 10 on the microsoft website) I was able to use the synch function in WMP10 and all the songs are playable (I'm listening to an album as I type :D)
