From what you have described your Frigidaire washer will not go into a spin cycle. This could be a possible issue with your motor, control panel, or speed board. I would recommend performing a reset on your washer and you can do that by unplugging the washer for at least ten minutes. If that does not correct your issue I would suggest having a professional technician since it could be anyone of these underlying issues. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. According to the service manual, if the washer won't drain or spin the drain may be clogged.

Could the error code displayed be UC for a unballance detected during the start of a spin cycle?

If you remove the wash load and place the washer in a Spin Only cycle it should complete the cycle and drain the machine. You can turn on the drain pump in Service Mode also but this is the quickest way for now.

Please confirm the error code and the machine model number. If you want help to DIY the fix I can help. you but you need to move to another forum. You can't get the Service Manual from this forum and I can't find my post most of the time. This forum is not really well thought out for DIY owners.

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

Then, see the Whirlpool / Kenmore Service Manual for top load, direct drive washers.

Normally, this would appear to be a Lid Switch or Neutral Drain problem BUT since it is re-filling , it sounds like a Timer problem.

See the Service Manual for how to test / replace the timer.

It will not spin with water in.
See if you can locate a filter, and clean same.

try manuals online

check filter may need pump then flush through on hot wash.

Is it front loader or top loader and what brand is it?

Read the Manuel and see if they offer an over ride, first.
Try unplugging the machine and rebooting it after you remove the cloths or move them around till it is balanced!



If no go you will need service at this time!

i know it sounds simple but have you checked the filter and also check for foreign objects in the pump impellor
