Yes.The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.The tv colors lines R,G,B mis alignment,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike.The tv convergence board have 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are dead.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be change to solved the tv picture convergence problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

this is an easy fix , ur problem is on the deflection board , look at the flyback transformer it is a big black component there is loose connection u need to do soldered connection on the flyback than check a pico fuse look like a squer little box brow color , look very care full at this pico fuse u need a metter to check for continue the value is 1/2 watt 250 volts

My tv is relatively new, but the bad thing is that I had an old; big screen tube type rca model; home theatre, that was heavier than a car, and it went out, due to the cracking and popping sound, off sometimes, and back on.
What is strange is the new tv now, the hdtv, light weight, about five years old, is doing the same thing. Actually, now, the power will not even come on. The lcd green light in the front goes on and off.
Take no offense, but I thought I would not have these problems anymore. What do you suggest?

Go to menu then setup if you do not see convergence in the menu then you have a Blowed Fuse FL231 its on right side of FBT flyback transfomer will be 3 small brown looking caps But are fuses it will be the one in the Middle! Go to Partstore.com Look for FL231

is this just a whine since you describe no problem with the picture it dosent jump or change color or flicker. there may be an easy fix this sounds like some coils oscillating and i tell you what can be done you can take some silcon and put on these coils to dampen then vibrations. now ther may be other problems but without looking this is my first gues ...where are these coils? ll037 on the power supply deflection board

may i suggest reading the ariticle the fl231 problem in my tips and tricks section of my profile. YOu MAY have a 5 dollars 30 minuter fix. Determine if you have the convergence option under the setup option of the customer menu. if you dont then congratulations you have a simple fix. i you do have the convergence option and the autoconvergence then you might have other problems. and will have to troubleshoot further. If so ill talk you through some more. THIS set has NO stk convergence ics. my feeling is the fl231 which i see alot on this perticlar model at the shop

Check your screen. I have the same problem with mine. If the screen has a ripple in it, it could give the same effect.
