Question about Washing Machines
This can be a design problem with some models.
The only way to keep on top of it is to use a spray oxygen based bleach product in the gap - and wipe out with a disposible cloth.
Also remove whole drawer assembly for cleaning above and behind the drawer - and as far down the fill pipe as possible.
I found using a foaming product helped a lot with these problems.
Wash a hot wash at least once a week to prevent regrowth - or use the dryer function on combo's to kill off spores.
Some machines are just prone to this problem.
