Re: viewsonic monitor ,no video

Black borders on side of screen. Video driver issue or no video driver installed; Resolution was changed and monitor could not adjust. Monitor needs to be manually adjusted.
Getting into Windows Safe Mode For information on how to setup your video card resolution, see document CH000190 ... This is the most basic Safe Mode option and has no additional support.

Viewsonic VX2640W was running with the screensaver on,then suddenly went solid white. Turned off for thirty minutes then back on with same result. Unplugged from computer and turned on. Still turn

1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

have you tried if the monitor on another computer?

otherwise it must be bad configuration.. try right clicking on the desktop, click on properties, configuration, and then you will see 2 monitors.. if you go in advanced you can also play there to tell wich one will be the firts monitor..

you could also reinstall the video drivers of your laptop and there will appear an icon on the task bar so you can configure how will the screen be working..

Viewsonic Monitor VA1912w

I just got a Viewsonic monitor with a flickering interference moving from top to bottom.  On examining the internal power board the capacitors CE101 and C200 were seen to be 'blowing'.  Replacing these 220uF capacitors restored correct operation.  I uprated the 2 capacitors to 105C 50V.

It means that there is no video signal from your video card. 1. Check the video cables 2. Try connecting your internal video card if you have one or change the card with new one.

Hi, my viewsonic va912b monitor disply 'no signal' screensaver for about one second when startup then shutdown automatically, the indicator light turn to orange,is it power supply prublem? where can get...

Try this first. Unplug the monitor power. Let it set for a few seconds and then plug it back in. This corrects this problem most of the time. If that doesn't work, try doing the same thing with the video cable. Disconnect it from the PC and then reattach it. The connections may have gotten corroded and are not making a good contact.

Hope these help you. because beyond that you are looking at either replacing the monitor or the video card.

Can't set 1680x1050 resolution on viewsonic monitor

I found the solution for my problem.
Initially I thought it's a monitor problem and was trying to find the drivers for it.
The problems is not with my monitor but with the video adapter I use.

My video adapter has a intel chipset (Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family). Apparently the driver that I was using was quite old.

The only thing I had to do is:
1. Download the latest video adapter driver
2. Uninstall the current video adapter driver
3. Restart the system (Windows XP)
4. Install the new driver.
5. Restart the system.

I have a ViewSonic VA902b. My wife was using the computer last night. Turned it off before she went to bed, got up this morning and it will not turn on. Is this possibly a lamp issue and is it replacable...

You can't assume anything with computers, it may be 1 of several possibilities. Your wife may have downloaded something like mine does, and not even realised it. It also may be a virus that she opened in an email or chat that may have infected the machine. Or it may be a bad video driver. Do you have another monitor to try, and at least we may eliminate that from the picture. If it was the monitor, And I have a few viewsonics myself, it would be very rare that it would blow out with no prior signs. That's why I doubt that it is the can do a system restore by hitting the following , Start, programs, accesorys, system tools, system restore, and go back to the closest restore point that you have, like the day before the problem occured, that should fix it unless it was a hardware issue, try that first, good luck, and let us know how you made out

Stuck screen resolution on monitor

it could have something to do witht he power setting's , go to properties / then screensaver , then click power options , u can turn sleep mode off there, and also change a few other things that may be causing this, your laptop may also have its own power setting , which is normaly in the task bar near the clock , high proformance , office, games, e.c.t , i assume when u plug the lcd in you have the power cord in the laptop connected, so i would just suggest my first option , and change the settings there , hope this helps
