Re: crossfire

I would recommend getting two ATI radeon cards instead of Nvidia. Crossfire is meant for ATI cards only. You will still be able to use Nvidia video cards but not as dual cards in Crossfire mode. Only on a single card basis.

The monitor on my computer screen is fuzzy and shaking. After turning the computer on and off a few times, I get a clear picture. What's causing this?

With out seeing the screen and the connections to the video card I can assume that
it is the cable that is loose but it may also be the video card itself and or the LCD
1. check the video cable from the monitor to the video card port
2. check the cabinet (PC) for accumulated dust around the mother board or the video
card and the CPU ( central processing unit). Dust is a heat collector and may render the
mother board and component to act erratic or fail all together. check all connectors
I hope this helps. Have a great day!

To upgrade to a newer and better CPU processors enabling me to play more quality games Min requirement CPU type and speed Intel 2 duo or equivalent What types and models and specs please. Have at...

You should get a quad core processor, with a minimum of 3 to 4 gigs of ram, and an asus SLI or crossfire Motherboard. This and a nice 1 terrabite drive can be done for under $500.00, unfoutunatelly, thats just the way they make it. I PLAY cod4, and I run a dual core with 2 gigs of ram and a $300.00 asus MB, with twin 7900 video cards in sli. and it just about runs it, the new games are processor and ram intense, let alone video cards. I would suggest a single card if cost is a factor, you can always add a second or even a third card later. But the you don't want to be the slowest guy playing, especially if you like first person multiplayer shooters

Hello guys i want to know which mobo is better 1) asus P5W dh Deluxe or 2)Intel D975XBX2 plz tell me fast bcuz i want to buy a pc

Well they're both considered obsolete but I'll give you my take. I'm an avid gamer & have been building my own rigs since '96, now I have my own business doing the same & more. While I'm an AMD guy, mainly due to price,Intel has come along way & has since out-performed AMD as of late, but bang for the buck,AMD is still top dog. Asus is a brand I've always used, unless cost was a problem. I still have a socket 939 A8n32sli deluxe, & only had to replace it once with it's lifetime warranty. They have & probably will continue to have some issues when trying to overclock, alot of that has to do with too many settings in the bios. Alot of the settings don't need to be used in overclocking & even experienced overclockers can mess up on an Asus & thier bios reset thing...hope you never have to try it( that's why mine got rma'ed). A look at the design & reviews on the Asus board in question, I'd say it's a great mobo for gaming, etc. Very expensive, even now selling at over $200,used. The Intel,it's ok, but I guaruntee it will overheat easily with the cooling solutions they used on the north bridge & the capacitors by the cpu. It also is very expensive. I wouldn't buy either in today's market. You can get a far better board, half the size, & quarter of the price. Also the new boards can run the newest cpu's & memory, both which have come down dramatically in price. I'd really consider taking your $200+ & invest it in something much newer. I don't normally give up my secrets but this site is out of the closet now, . Check out what they have there in the "barebones" section, you'll be surprised at the system you can builld for the money you want to spend, that will run circles around either one of those boards.

Asus a7m266 was watching somthing on a tv tuner and computer died, every time i switch on all i get is a repeditive 1 second long beep, then 1 second pause no bios or display

try taking out the battery on *********** board, then put it back in and try it. this should reset your bios.

also there should be a 2 prong jump block on *********** board to reset bios.

check *********** boards book for location of this will need a jumper to do this. if you have any old hd's or cd dvd drives laying around you can use one of them. the little black thing for master/slave jumping..or an old mother board.

i have like 4 of them in the bottom of my case just incase i have to reset bios the hard way.

hope this helps.

Updating my GT5464

The 8800GT will work and the GT5464 is a core 2 Processor motherboard. But why put such a high grade video card into a motherboard that will only take two gig memory? If you are a gamer which most likely you are, by you wanting a 640mb video card. My I suggest looking into a motherboard that will take two video cards. I found one for a co-worker that came was a complete PC with two 512mb video card for $400.00. new. Less the hard drive and burner. Running dual video is where the gamers are going to. Plus you can up grade to Quad. You can't up the GT5464 to Quad.
