Question about Grilling

UniFlame CBC772W-0707041148 Only one burner will work at a time. Turning on a second burner reduces the flame on both to almost nil. Model CBC772W-0707041148. Gas tank is full and replacing it did not help.

Burner lights but then shuts off after about a minute

What's happening is a good indication that the pilot assembly and the burner assembly may need cleaning. Insects can really clog it up. If after thoroughly cleaning the pilot and burner assemblies the burner still shuts off, check the gas tank and make sure it's at east 2/3rds full. After reconnecting the hose to the tank, open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow) until the valve is full open. Then attempt to light the pilot and the burner. If every things works as it should, you solved the problem.

If you find you need to order a thermocouple, I have provided a link to the Blue Rhino Company, the manufacturer of Uniflame Patio Heaters and you can order it thru them.

I hope this helped you troubleshoot & solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

My uniflame has two burners and one does not ignite. Everything seems to be tight. What can I do to get this to ignite when turning ignition knob? Thanks!

When you say two burners, I believe you are referring to the pilot flame and the main burner. The pilot flame has to light and heat the thermocouple befoe the main burner will ignite. The pilot flame will not light if: there is not enough gas in the tank, the pilot jet is clogged, or the regulator is bad. Check the tank to make sure it has gas. The next thing to check is the pilot jet. You have to take the heater apart, somewhat, to get to the pilot jet. The tube and the orifice need to be cleaned out, compressed air in a can and a pipe cleaner make the job a little easier. If this does not work, replace the reglator and hose.

Our Uniflame Grill has a round outer burner and a round inner burner. The outer burner has a large orange/yellow fllame. The inner burner has a small blue flame. Is it normal for the inner burner to...

Bob, your wife is partially correct. However, both burners should have blue flames with orange tips. Cleaning the burners and the their venturi valves, should solve the problem. When I say cleaning them, I mean removing and cleaning them.

Hope this helped you and Happy Grilling!!

Cannot adjust flame

This could be a regulator or manifold issue. If the unit has a side burner check to see if it is burning at a correct flame height. If it is then the regulator is not the problem there is an issue with the manifold. For further assistance please get the model number and call Uniflame at 1-800-732-1142 we are here 7 days a week to help.

Lack of heat

The plates protect the burners and help disperse the flame more evenly across the grill surface. Make sure the tank is completely open (knob on top of tank) and that when the burner is turned up to high, the flames out of the burners are about 1 1/2 to 2" long, mostly blue in color. If they are smaller, and the tank is open all the way, the regulator hose may be defective.

Pilot and burners

You need to check a couple of things, first is the flame sensor, second is the thermostat. Without anymore detailed info this is the most I can give you.
