SD Card problem

I have an HP Photosmart 525. After removing the SD card and downloading photos at a local store, I re-inserted the card in the camera and the camera came up "Card had wrong format" "Press OK to format". When I press OK the screen reads, "Unable to format". These messages were on a red screen on the camera.
I have purchased another SD card, thinking that the problem was the card, only to have the same things happen.
Is this problem an easy fix?

My camera is also doing this. I have at least 200 photos on the card and after taking the card out to download my photos it will not work in my camera. I also got a new card and I still get the message to format the card yet when i push "ok" it says this card can not be formatted.. so any help anyone can give would be great. thanks

I have also received the same error, on both the existing SD memory card as well as a brand new memory card. I would be very interested to know what has caused this, and if the camera is simply borken.....

We too have had this trouble, tried all of the known solutions but nothing works. The camer was functioning fine so nothing unsual has occured. I was thinking there was some hidden fix that we are unaware of. My next step is to take it to a camera shop but if it is something I should know already I hate to do that, duh.... Suggestions ????
