Advent 6651 notebook turns off

As soon as I remove the power cable, the whole computer shuts down. It is a brand new laptop. What should I do? Someone wrote something about 'O.S' but I don't know what that is!

This is a total long shot, but could there be some of the original packaging attached to the battery? The 'brand new' aspect of the laptop made me think about this.

It sounds like your computer is powering directly from the charger, without any of the charge going into the battery. If there was a small plastic cover over the contacts on the battery, it may explain this probem.

Otherwise, I would look towards some other battery issue.

There could be a power saving feature somewhere causing this problem, however there's normally some sort of warning about this, rather than an unexpected and instant shutdown.

sounds like windows is having an issue with stopping a program that is running at the time that u try to shut the computer down like what programs are running when u try the shut down

it can also be caused by a corrupt registry or something as simple as a corrupt driver

Notebook shuts down as soon as it goes to windows


try to turn off the laptop. Remove the cables and battery on it. Then press and hold the power button for 8 secs. Reinsert the cables and battery then turn it on. If same problem occurs, then you should try to call your pc manufacturer and tell them you have a problem with the power supply or the motherboard...

Advent 6651 built in microphone won't turn off


The best way to avoid the feedback, caused by the microphone not turning off, is to turn the volume down all the way.

That way when you close the clamshell top, the microphone will not match up with the speakers to produce the Jimi Hendrix feedback screech.

Toshiba Satellite P205d S7479 shuts down suddenly when on battery. The battery is brand new.


Try to turn off the laptop
Remove cables and battery on the pc
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds
reinsert battery and cables on the laptop
Turn on the laptop

Check if the PC still shuts down. If it is, try to connect the power cable without the battery. If it turns on, call your pc manufacturer to replace the battery....

read you problem.
to fix this up you have to follow few steps.

1.check if the driver for this is installed.it is there in system properties.

2.if it is installed try reinstalling the driver as it may not be installed properly.

3. if even after these things it dont work then check the webcame settings .

Advent 6651 will not power up


If it is brand new, then you have warranty, I suggest you return it to the supplier to get it fixed, because if you do something to it you might void your warranty.

Advent 9912 wont turn on


remove the ac adapter
take the battery out
be sure nothing is connected with your laptop
then press and hold the power button for 60 secs to drain static as it is the most probable reason laptops stops working.
then connect the ac adapter only and without the battery try powering on the system
if it powers on
you can again shut it down
insert the battery
it should surely power on
