We have a Samsung side-by-side. On the refridgerator side underneath the bottow draw there is an accumulation of water. I have to clean it out everyday or it starts overflowing. Any ideas where the water could be coming from and home to fix it

Re: Water issue in fridge

Generally, this is condensation of humidity in the air. It is occurring after the defrost cycle. Check your door gaskets and clean or replace. Pull a 2 inch wide strip of typing paper through the gasket area to check for sealing. Oh, and if someone is 'window shopping', that's letting the humidity in.

I have ice accumulating at the bottom of my JennAir side by side refridgerator on the freeezer side. any idea why ?

First make sure the door is sealing properly.
If it is at the bootom of the freezer behind the backpanel is a drain hole this has become clogged. To unclog try some warm water and a piece of wire. Pour in about a cup of warm water to melt the ice then run a wire down the tube. This is where the water from the defrost cycle goes. There is a drain pan underneath to catch the water. for a diagram go to and enter your model #.

Water accumulation underneath the bottom vetable

Two solutions
1 If a frost free fridge/freezer - ice build up in internal cooler - defrost totally until no more water
2 if ordinary fridge/freezer look inside at the back, you should see a very shallow 'V' shaped plastic channel running to a small drain hole which leads to the rear outside of the unit. This channel collects the water drips from the cooler
Clear this hole with a pipe cleaner or cocktail stick or similar

Whirlpool gold:upper half of refridgerator side not cold

Either the evap fan has a problem, or the defrost system has failed. You should never see frost in the freezer section as the defrost sensor should sense that the coils need to be defrosted before that much frost accumulates.

Unplugging to clean out helped because the frost got a chance to melt away.

If you find the evap motor is running, then the things to check are the defrost sensor, the defrost timer, and the defrost heater.

Ge refridgerator model gsl25jfpe bs

I have a gsl25jfpe bs ge regrigerator and the baffle motor that controls air flow from the freezer to the refrigerator is out. This had been causing everthing in the fridge to freeze and cause the water to stop working due to water freezing in the storage tank. The baffle is in the back top of the fridge covered with a plastic cover. Remove plastic cover to check baffle function.
