Water pump

Purchase a Haynes manual for your car, it will walk you through the removal of old pump and installation of new pump. Do not purchase a rebuilt water pump, purchase a new water pump, pump gasket and thermostat with gasket.
I have replaced several Chevrolet water pumps, if your car is a front wheel drive you will have to support the engine from the bottom with a floor jack in order to disassemble the motor mount in front of the water pump.

This is not that difficult of a repair but you will need metric and fraction size wrenches and sockets. Since some of your car is built in USA and Mexico or Canada this is how it is.

I hope this helps you! Good luck.

Virginia Moser, you woke up a 10 year old post with no answer. There is no answer because this is an unknown make. I vaguely remember Ronic as an online television sales line. Here is your manual :>D

Not enough flow and pressure to run sprinkler system

pressure in centrifugal pumps depends on the number of impellers in the pump housing, the clearance of the impellers to the housing and the power of the motor to drive the impeller/s
volume flow is also important as a pump without a high output will not produce pressure
check the jet size at the foot valve that is used to help lift water to the pump
It is a jet pump and will have a smaller line back to the foot valve for that purpose
next wil jet pumps if there is too much flow to the outlet , the pressure required to help lift the water to the pump is reduced and the volume is also reduced
you indicate 4 sprinkler heads per zone but how many zones are operating at one time
check the expected delivered volume for the new pump against delivered volume of the old pump as a starter to find the reason for the poor performance of the new pump
check also the rpms of each pump as that also has a bearing on volume produced

Replacing water pump on 2002 Bonneville, 3.8 liter

Easier than you think. It will take longer to scrape the old gasket off the engine than to change the pump. You have to release tension on the serpentine belt first. Then, remove the 3 bolts holding the pump pulley on. Now you can see the bolts that need to be removed. Most are 10 MM and are short in length there are 4 bolts that are larger and longer. Take them out and the pump should come off easily. If not then give it some help with a rummer mallet, never with a screw driver. Now the task if removing the old gasket. Use a narrow putty knife or other scraper blade. Take precaution here not to gouge the surface where the gasket is. It's quite soft. Once ALL the old gasket is gone apply gasket sealant to only the side if the gasket that mates up with the water pump. Push a long bolt thru the hole in the new pump to keep the gasket from moving and install the new pump. Put back the pulley and install the serpentine belt. A tool that aids in releasing the tension on the serpentine belt can be had at any auto parts store and Harbor Freight. Makes the job safer and easier.

I am trying to replace my value cover gasket. I first need to remove how?

that depends on the engine size, always put that in your question , anyway,, a general rule of thumb is,,, remove the bolts that hold the valve cover down to the head,, at times you may need to completely scrape away all of the old gasket, when installing the new one, be sure to put a little gasket seal on the corners of the gasket so it doesn't come off when you flip it over to put it back in place,, here, lemme give you a link, so you can see what I mean http://www.youtube.com/user/scottykilmer#p/search/0/LeH4h0aEmsI

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Approx. 165480 mi. and well looked after. Took in for coolent leak (puddle under engine) and reservoir levels always low (duh). On 9/30/10 @ AAA shop told me they did...

I would contact the BBB about the AAA shop. They were taking advantage of you not to mention they did not warranty there work. Plus if they changed the pump they were the ones that left the clamp loose. In the future you should just take it to the shop you know and trust even if it cost you a little to have it towed there, it will be less than getting taken advantage of. It hard to find a good honest shop and it sounds like you have one so give them the business they deserve it.

91 trooper water pump replacement

If your car is over-heating, chances are it's the water pump or thermostat. These two parts should be changed out at the same time because if your pump is old enough to go out then the thermostat is not far behind.

Step1 serpentine247bs_thumb.jpg First you'll need to pull out the old water pump. Look in your vehicles owners manual and find the diagram showing what all that stuff under your hood is. locate the water pump (usually underneath alternator running on the same belt) you'll need to take this belt (serpentine or other) off to start pulling the old pump. There should be a tension bar or arm that easily loosens the belt with the right size socket. Step2 Once you've gotten the belt off you can begin to remove the old pump. There should be only a few large bolts holding it in. After you've gotten the old pump out, place the silicone sealer on the new water pumpmag-glass_10x10.gif 9around the edges where it meets the gasket. Then apply the sealer to the gasket as well, just use your fingers to spread it on. Now place the new pump with gasket, where the old one was, replace the bolts and be sure not to crank down too tight on the bolts or you might crack the gasket and your pump wont seal. Step3 thermo_thumb.jpg Now that you've gotten the new pump installed, you'll want to replace the thermostat. the thermostat could be located near the water pump or on the other side of the engine. So once again, refer to the vehicles owners manual and find where the thermostat is. You might need to remove some hoses and/or lines to get to the thermostat, so just be careful not to break/bend/crack or damage anything (the older the vehicle, the better chance of something breaking) Pull the old thermostat and replace it with the new and you're all done. Don't forget to put everything (hoses, lines, nuts'n bolts) back where they came from and off you go!
