Re: no sound...not sure what to load.

Here are things I would try:

Click Start->Control Panel->System Select the Hardware tab and then click on Device Manager. Do you see anything here that looks like a problem with the audio hardware? If there's a problem you may see an exclamation point or some other indication. If you see nothing like this then close this window.

Go back to the Control Panel and double click on Sounds and Audio Devices. Make sure the "Mute" box is not checked. Click on Advanced. Are all the volume sliders set a reasonable levels and are any Mute boxes checked?

Look these things and let us know.

Hello vatsala,

Try downloading and installing the latest sound drive available for your motherboard. Here is the link.

If that doesn’t work, try using another set of speakers to make sure it’s not your speakers that are bad and if that doesn't work, you may have a bad sound card and will need to put in new sound card.

Sound Drivers

you have to download the sound drivers and install the software..can't give you the exact driver as haven't specified much about your PC.
still try to download one of the common driver like realtek- Ac97... from the following URL ..

or try to download other audio drivers and install it...your problem would be fixed.

hope to get rated as fixed...
