Question about Motorola Mobility W385 Cellular Phone

The keypad sticks on my Motorola W385 cell phone

The keypad on my Motorola W385 cell phone is sticking. The phone acts like I am pushing 888888888888... and won't let me stop it, even if I press different numbers or try to turn the phone off. Eventually it stops itself, and might even work properly for an hour or a day, but the problem keeps re-occurring. Any thoughts?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Key pad doesn't register all numbers when pushed. Repair or replace?

The problem of sticking or non-functioning keypad numbers is usually caused by liquid getting in the keyboard circuit.

Although the phone can be disassembled and cleaned, and begin working again, it doesn't mean that the keypad will continue to work properly in the future. It's almost always a continuing problem.

My recommendation is to replace the phone. I've seen this happen too many times in the past to recommend otherwise.

Volume Problem Motorola w385

perhaps you may try if you haven't already to go into settings>sounds>and from there you will be able to see what you have your ringer volumes and other stuff set up. be sure to check ringtone type, volume, and alert. This should be able to help you. Then it depends on What ringtone you have set for them. I created a voice note and used it as a ringtone and for some reason it stopped working and now when my mama calls it just beeps letting me know I missed a call. Even though the other voice notes work fine as ringtones. I haven't changed it yet.

Keyboard, #2, appears to stick.

The button seems to get stuck easyly, you have to take the keypad apart and see whats wrong with the button.

You will have to clean the button if something has gotten inside which makes it stick.
