Question about GE GDS20KBS Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
I have a GE boton drower and the fridge is not cooling but the boton is working fine. What can be? Do you think i can repair it. Thnks
The evaporator fan is normally the problem. However these units work slightly different from other fridges. they have temp sensors in multiple places that report back to the main control board in rear. also these have no damper to control air flow to fridge from freezer, instead uses multispeed fan with rpm feedback to board. the dial controls are not regular thermostats, they are part of a "encoder board" that tells the main board your settings. The temp sensor can be checked by measuring resistence (varies by temp) at the connector to board.
