The Amana AP125D is made by Haier. I just found the parts breakdown and pricing on their website. Try this link http://service.haieramerica.com/Models.aspx?CID=228.

If the freezer is not freezing. I am guessing that the refrigerator is not cold also. Here is link to an Amana Refrigerator Not Freezing. You will need to narrow down parts that are working and are not working. I would first pull the refrigerator out to make sure that the compressor and the condenser fan are running(the condencer fan motor runs to cool the compressor down). This is a link to a GE refrigerator condenser fan motor problem. The compressor and condenser fan motor are in the same place. This can give an idea at least where it is at. Make sure that the evaporator fan motor in the freezer is running also. Make sure that the rear freezer wall is not iced over. This can be a defrost problem. See what a defrost problem is HERE. If your unit is sitting there with the lights on but you hear no noise from any fan motor or your compressor. Your unit may be in a defrost mode. Locate your defrost timer. It looks as tho it is either located in the front behind the kick plate or in the back by the compressor. Here is a link to your units diagrams http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Amana-Parts/Refrigerator-Parts/Model-SQD23VW-P1315302WW/1268/0165000/P9060266/00011?componentDescription=&brandDescription=&searchTerm= or http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Amana-Parts/Refrigerator-Parts/Model-SQD23VWP1315302WW/1268/0165000?searchedModel=sqd23vw&blt=11 . My fridge(& freezer) started giving off a bad burnt odor then stopped cooling (amana 25 cubic/mod #afd2535fes). any suggestions as to what it might be?

You said it stopped cooling, does the compressor kick on, or is it dead? Is the condenser fan operating (the one that blows across the condenser grill by the compressor)?

Is your condenser grill clean? What indications are you getting specifically?

Not sure if you have fixed yet, but I had the same problem on my AP148D. There are 2 fans, 1 for the condenser (base of unit) and 1 for the evaporator (top of unit). My condenser fan disintigrated. Go to his web site and you will find a parts list for this model, and a distributer list http://service.haieramerica.com/Models.aspx?CID=231

Call this number and they have the parts in stock : 800-313-8495, mine shipped overnight. The parts are :

AC-8000-27 Wheel-blower condenser $21.81

AC-8000-26 Wheel-blower evaporator $21.81

I suspect you will need the first part. Hope this helps. Be careful to note where all the screws come from when dismantling !!!!

Contact the dealer you bought it from.
For warranty information, please call HSN.com Customer Service at 800.933.2887 (8 am-1 am ET)

If it is out of warranty, and you can get hold of the parts, then as long as you feel confident to change the parts yourself, go ahead. It will only be a case of removing the case and maybe some covers inside to get at the broken components. There is NO rocket science used in the design or building of these things.
All you will need is a small to medium sized phillips head screwdriver and maybe a 7 or 8mm spanner. You may need to cut a couple of cable ties. Make sure you note how the components fit and also the route of the cables as they will need to be routed the same way when you replace the case.
You need to discover what caused the fan to break in the first place. In my experience this cause is normally someone poking something into the grill...

If it is constantly running, (compressor and the fan inside of freezer) then the thermostat is working, more than likely you have an inefficient compressor or a low charge in the sealed system due to a refrigerant leak. Touch the compressor, is it almost too hot to touch? Do you hear a buzzing and clicking noise every so often? If you can answer that for me, I could better diagnose it
