My sweeper program does not work even though I have paid for a new subscription

You may have to go to the help menu for the program and do a repair or update. The subscription renewal may have changed codes and it needs to update from old subscription which would of had an expiration date.

Assuming you paid the renewal fee online and you verified your payment was recived the software should update rather quickly. Try restarting the computer and see if it shows the proper subscription information. If this does not work, give it a few hours and try again. Contact the company and insure they have the payment reflected. If you received email confirmation of payment, that email usually will contain contact information for technical support or customer service issues

Can not update update is set to automatic but gives fault


Could Spy Sweeper be corrupted with something?
Subscription expired?
Your firewall might be blocking it.
Try going to the program controls in the settings of the firewall and removing it from the list.

Removing webroot spy sweeper


This worked for me. Search the registry for webroot (start->run->type 'regedit'); in regedit, find 'webroot'. Delete the folder that has webroot (it has sub-folder 'spy sweeper'). McAfee should finish installing.

It doesn't really matter which version of Spy Sweeper is on the installation disk, as long as the subscription associated with its product key hasn't expired. Spy Sweeper will immediately update to the current version after you install it.

The clock starts on your one-year subscription when you enter the product key during installation. If it's a 3-machine license, then the clock starts on all 3 copies when the first one is installed.

AVG compatibility


Just open task MGR and stop it from running, then update and restart,, If you surf the web and are on a lot of free sites you should get rid of AVG,,,# 2 is kaspersky for best,, and AVG is #10 I stake my life on this claim no matter what anyone says,if they say different
ask them what virus's and trojans and rootkits and worms they used for testing.

"your subscription tracks have ended" but i paid my monthly fee and plugged it in!


It seems that the music store only accepts certain kind of mp3 players but also some accounts are closed down if there is no activity on that account for a certain time. I am pretty sure its more than a month though. I would give them a call.

another possibility is get you money back and download a good free tool called spybot search and destroy, and if your realy interested in anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-malware, etc., you dont need to pay a stinkin' dime to anyone, there a few very good free programs that will do the job. write back if you want the links!
