Question about Car Audio & Video

The command centre touch screen has crashed on my Jaguar X Type 3

The command centre touch screen has crashed on my 3:0 litre X Type Sport so all functions incl. climate, audio, sat nav, etc are lost. Jaguar in Truro say all they can do is replace at a cost of more than £1500 and Jaguar customer service are totally unhelpful, please advise since this is the 3rd time it has happened in the car's 7 year (70,000 miles) life.
Thanks and regards

2001 Jaguar S Type 4.0 No heat No a/c

the common prob is caused by the wiring to the dual control valve corroded/oc behind the front bumper liner. the centre of the 3 wires going to it are favorite and should have battery voltage going to the centre wire check that using a load ie.a 21watt bulb bet its missing if so remove bumper liner untape the wiring and find o/c and repair or rewire the power from the underbonnet fuse box just above

When do you change the cam belt on the 2 litre sport, mine is 8 years old and has done 60000 miles

it should be done by time and miles, even when miles are low, it should be done by age, its false ecconomy not to replce it, as it will cost alot more if it snaps, change it now! asap. then every 4/5 years or 50k.
