You do understand the microphone requires phantom power ... You're connecting a microphone to a ten watt guitar amp ... what's that about.

Samson G-Track mic does not work with garageband effects

Look man just use the input as a way for your pre-amp's to plug in.... you don't want any of those built in guitar effects anyways... You just need a good multi pedal.. There are many good recording Pre-amps out there that work great and are fully adjustable for easy recording.. You can do what you want but, I think you will like the sound of pre-amp effects pedals in your computer set up....

Thats just a tip

Can't Plug In Guitar

Hi gtrackhelp

Just stick the mic in front of the guitar amp :) That easy really. Even though it is a cheap amp, you will still get results(probably better than you expect.. In the studio thats how all guitars are recorded. If you have any more questions, happy to answer. Cheers

Inputs

ok, heres what try contacting the support line on your samson mic and ask the setup if you are going to connect an acoustic guitar, there might be some info for it. actually there is here check this out

Acoustic Guitar
There are a variety of ways that the G Track can be used to mic an acoustic guitar. The
microphone placement will depend on the type of instrument and what kind of sound
you’re looking to capture, for example the tonal quality you want to focus on, and how
much finger slide or pick noise you may or may not want. When miking a standard
steel string acoustic, a good place to start is with the microphone positioned pointing
towards the end of the fingerboard at a distance of about 6 inches to 2 feet away from
the instrument. You can experiment by moving the microphone slightly in the direction
of the sound hole, which will produce more low frequencies, or move it in the direction
of the fingerboard to capture more high-end or to remove any unwanted boominess.
For nylon string acoustic, try positioning the microphone above the bridge to emphasize
more of the attack from the sound of the finger picking, or for less, move the mic closer
to the sound hole. If you have a pair of G Tracks, try one positioned at the fingerboard
and the second over the sound hole.

Samson CO2 Pencil microphones

The CO2 is a condenser mic (also called capacitor mic), and as such, requires phantom power to operate. Ensure that your system is providing phantom power to the microphone, usually accomplished by flipping a switch near your mic input on your sound board.

Connecting samson co2

The Samson CO2 is a condenser (also called capacitor) mic, and thus requires phantom power to operate. In order to apply phantom power, you must have a board capable of handling an XLR connection, and supply phantom power. Usually there is a switch located near the XLR-input jack on your board - if you post your sound board type, more help can be given.

Samson G-track - Vista requiring to install USB Audio Codec

If the LED doesn't light when you plug it in, and it doesn't show up in Device Manager ("USB Composite Device" or "USB Audio Device"), then the mic must be defective. Contact Samson for a replacement.
