I have a 2002 mini one. About 4 months ago I had the bushes replaced, however I have just been told they have split. Is this possible? Is there a problem with my car?

Yeah that sounds right, sounds to me Like Power Control Module (AC Control Module). You shouldn't need to get a code from the factory removing the Radio. If you do its not a big hassle it can be done by phone.
Not enough information. You really need to have it diagnosed to find out if its an engine issue or component. You may have a couple different problems but only a shop can figure it out. Here we are all just guessing.
