SOURCE: the screw securing the tap handle has sheard off.

Take an electric hand held grinder with either a small carbide burr or grinding bit and grind away the rest of the head of the screw. This should release the handle so you can pull it off and then you should be able to remove the remainder of the screw. If it is a set screw holding the handle, grind the top of the screw flat and use a drill to drill it out.

Hi. I inherited a 1998 Husqvarna 265 rx. Got new plug and new fuel and it fires ok. Wouldn't stop so I added a washer under the 'earth' screw and it now stops. Problem is poor acceleration

To set the throttle, start by slackening the cross head screw securing the cable in the handle and pull completly out, now slacked the three allen headed screws securing the handle, twist the handle to the best position for your use ( at full throttle your thumb should not be straining ) now slacken the lower cross head screw and turn the silver clamp to tention the spring underneath, when correctly adjusted the throttle trigger should spring back to the idle position readily, now re fit the cable up through the clamp, turn the cable so as it is just about to open the carb throttle spindle, lock the cross head screw and test to make sure you are getting full throttle, if not slacken the screw and turn cable a little more.

My complaint is about the go diego go toy trike, the screws that hold the handle bars to gather will not stay in ,, the holes are either to big or the screws are to small. do hope to hear answer on this...

1. You can buy a bigger bolt at a hardware store with a nut that fits the bolt and use a washer on both sides of the handle bar. Also, before screwing on the bolt, put teflon tape around the bolt screw where the nut is to go. This should secure the nut from unwinding through use. Make sure the nut is on more than hand tight.
2. If you cannot purchase another bolt, then start with washers and teflon tape. Be sure to tighten the nut more than hand tight using a wrench or pair of pliers.

Installed new valve but when I screw the handle in I can't shut the water off completely. I can pull and turn the water on but when i push it in, it only turns off part of the way. To shut it off i have to...

On most moen single handle valves there is a washer that is supposed to fit over stem on cartridge. This washer has two flat sides to fit over flats on stem. The only other thing I can think of is that your valve face plate is mounted a little to far out and won't let back of handle go all the way closed. I would try tightening the two screws that secure face plate to valve a little and see if that helps. Good luck. Thanks

Need to change washer faucet

Probably what you need to do is change the cartridge. You will need a Moen cartridge puller to help with removal and reinstallation. You can get these and the cartridges at most hardware stores. Shut Off Water first, remove set screw that secures handle and carefully remove handle. You may have to tap lightly on rim of handle to free it. There is a retaining clip that holds cartridge in place, it will have a small round hole on top. Carefully remove clip using neddle nose pliers or perhaps ice pick inserted in hole to remove clip.Install puller as per instructions and tighten nut to remove cartridge. Install new cartridge andclip. put handle back on and install screw. I need to back up here and say that screw is normally located under moen insignia in middle of handle. Pry cover off with screw driver or knife blade to access screw. After you have cartridge, retaing clip and handle reinstalled turn water back on and check for leaks. Hope this helps. Thanks.

I have an 11 year old, single handle shower control that when turned off has dripping. I have taken off the handle, etc and am at the wall. What is the next step or steps?

After you remove the chrome collar and plastic collar washer (behind the faucet handle), pry the beauty plate off the wall. Turn off the house main water supply. Remove the four screws and washer holding the cartridge and valve stem in place. Save the metal washer under the four screws for use with the new cartridge. Replace the stem/cartridge assembly and secure with the saved metal washer and four screws. Reinstall beauty plate, collar & collar washer, then handle.

Water leaks where the hose connects to the trigger handle.

Be sure to get a good washer on with the connection. They're easy to buy at any hardware store. You can also put white plumbing tape around the threads before screwing them in to make it really fit.
