Cycle Time

I purchased this unit at an auction sale.

I have cleaned the filter. I have the energy timer set to 3 hours, the fan speed set to LOW and the humidly setting to On.

When I switch on the unit it runs for less than a minute, then shuts down for about 6 minutes before restarting again.

During the shutdown time the panel lights still operate. I can change the fan speed and humidity control indicator but nothing happens during the shut down period. Its like the unit has gone into sleep mode with the panel on.
