Question about JVC GR-SXM755 Camcorder

Open Question

JVC GR-SXM745U I have a JVC Camcorder model GR-SXM745U. I have a tape stuck in it and it will not play. It turns on for about 5 seconds then it will say (UNIT IN SAFEGAURD MODE) then it will turn off. I charge the battery in full but it will show that the battery is empty on the screen. I also popped the door open (I didnt break anything) to see if the film is jammed but it is not. Even when I use the adapter instead of the battery, it does the same thing. Can you tell me whats wrong and what to do with it? Thanks.

SOURCE: safegaurd mode

Unfortunately this is a repair issue. There are several failures that can occur, none of which will be resolved without service, that create this safeguard situation. Often the fpc cable which carries sensor information to the micro has been injured and that requires repair. Good luck, magic seadog

SOURCE: Connect A JVC GR D31 Camcorder to a Computer Via USB 2

Well I'm afraid not the cable don't not come in such of a way either cause they are different type of cable, but what u can do is buy an external fire wire card for yr PC it comes in PCI format for yr desktop PC. because camcorder in these days do not use USB cables due to the cause that fire wire cable is much faster than the USB ones.

SOURCE: i have a jvc gr-d347u camcorder. i haven't

Hi,
This kind of symptom appears in camcorder when its video head got dirty/ clogged, put video head cleaning tape in camcorder and clean head as per instructions provided with cleaning tape.
You can buy video head cleaning tape from Radio Shake or any store.
Thanks.

Gr-dvl-520u trying to record or playback tape it goes into safeguard mode within 5 seconds. alternatly pressing play and still every 3 seconds advanced the playback without it going into safeguard mod

According to http://www.techlore.com/article/10974/JVC-Camcorder-Stuck-in-Safe-Mode/,

"JVC notes that you are also given a malfunction code when the unit is placed into safeguard. If it displays code 01, 02, or 06 you should remove
the battery and powersupply and wait for a while. Code 03 and 04 indicate that you should eject and reinsert the tape.

If neither of these solutions work, your only alternative is to bring it to a shop or send it to JVC for diagnosis or repair. Unfortunately, there is no other way to clear the condition."

If you are getting E03 or E04 errors on every tape you try, it sounds like a servicing is required.
