On the bottom of most laptops, you can gain access to the WiFi card. If you can do this on yours, they usually have the name of the card on a label on the card. This will help you identify the card maker and you should be able to get the driver from IBM or "google" a driver based on that info. If that info is not clear, there should be an FCC ID # somewhere on the card. You can then go to www.driversguide.com and use the FCC ID to see if a driver is listed.

Hope this helps

The same model ThinkPad can have different types of network, video and audio drivers and unless you know exactly which one is installed in your ThinkPad, you need to download all the drivers and install each driver until you find the right driver. When you download the drivers, write down the device driver and it's file name so you have a record of which driver you are installing and which directory the unzipped files are located on your hard drive. Can not turn on the wireless device. I've checked the BIOS and it's enabled. I've tried the Fn F5 key and it doesn't even access the wireless controls.

this happened to me, you need to reinstall the drivers for your wireless adapter, these should be able to be found when you hit my computer and then C drive.. there is generally a partition that says drivers
