Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC

1 Answer

We have just installed a new Epson wireless printer TX610 and now the keyboards won't work. We have a desktop keyboard attached to the laptop simply for practicality. We can't reach the laptop keyboard easily as it is on a high shelf! The two keyboards have been fine up until now. We fiddled a bit an have limited success. It has gone from not working at all to the enter key not working. We tried the shift key 7 times and holding the shift key for 7 seconds and the message says toggle text and sticky keys, but holding down the shift key again isn't working. Can you help please?

I have an Acer laptop and it won't allow me to instal an Epson TX610 printer. Can you offer any advice here, please? Best wishes Rae

Some older hardware, including printers may not be compatable with your operating system. It will not install incorrect software. Go to the Epson web site and download drivers for the printer compatible with your operating system.

How would i connect my wireless keyboard to my lap top ?

Simply use the insulation disk that came with the wireless keyboard to install it on your laptop . You may have to modify your device settings with regards to the internal keyboard when you enable the wireless keyboard . Load the installation CD into the laptop and follow the directions . The software might setup and modify your device connection settings automatically for you , and perhaps with options or hot keys to switch from wireless and internal keyboard settings on the fly .

Hello, i currently use a IBM desktop with IBM keyboard and mouse but i just bought a microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse which i just installed into my desktop using the installation CD. They are both...

Hi Tony,
It appears that you have an IBM desktop whose BIOS isn't capable of booting off of a USB keyboard and mouse device. Older computers used to require that a PS2 mouse and keyboard be attached before booting, to prevent you from booting a machine without any way of controlling it. You have 3 options:

1. leave the corded mouse and keyboard attached and never use them
2. update the BIOS for your desktop to the newest one in hopes that the updated BIOS will allow for USB mouse and keyboard operation
3. go to a computer store and get a PS2 to USB converter/adapter. They're small and relatively inexpensive. It plugs into the PS2 port, and makes your computer think that there's a PS2 device connected, when it's actually a USB device.

My keyboard is n't typing? I have a laptop.

reinstall the driver ..and check the plugs for proper insert ...if there was a problem and you started the pc ..and do not sow the device ...( problem like unpluging ..or out of batteries..) it is the chance that you need to go to the device manager ..and update the driver ...( from the disc ) or automatically cause the driver is still installed into the pc ...
